always thought it was overrated, dunno. I'm sorry for that...it just did not click...but its one of her better ballads.

Btw, I made summerplaylists but it is harder for Namie to figure out wich songs are "summery", at least to me. I always think "Nah, only becaus eit is upbeat?" and then I leave it of.

I guess I never saw Love Story as overrated cause I heard it for the first time a little less than a year after the release of Uncontrolled and was totally out of the loop with Namie news and the J-Pop world in general. I didn't even know it was released as a single or had a tie-in, so I heard the song without any expectations.

As for Love Story being underrated i meant mostly by her international fanbase, obviously everyone in Japan loved it since it was her biggest hit in a while there.
But the majority of people on forums like this one seemed to find the single average at best (S!S!W!D! was a weak single choice but everything else was great tbh)

It's a simple song sure, but it's beautiful imo.

Love Story grew on me when I went to Japan and heard it in some stores. I also bought Ballada there so every song on that album is so nostalgic it hurts

I'd be happy with another Best as Love Enhanced and Ballada are some of my favourite Namie albums!

I also wouldn't mind a 20th Anniversary version of Concentration 20 in 2017 - probably not going to happen though haha!

I had never listened to Namie's older albums. Didn't really pay attention to anything before PLAY. But a couple of weeks ago I finally downloaded the entire discography (thanks Tomoyo!!!) and I think you should all know that I have an unhealthy obsession with ''LET'S DO THE MOTION'' ''Don't wanna cry (eighteen's summer mix)'' and ''LOVE 2000''. There are others but those 3 are being re-played especially hard.

EDIT: Random fact: I think is weird how many remixes ''SWEET 19 BLUES'' had. It's more a remix album than a studio album. Was this common for artist in the 90s?

^It wasn't unusual to have several remixes on albums. Utada also has few remixes on First Love (Automatic, B&C) and Ayu has as well on LOVEppears (appears, WHATEVER, immature).

Excuse me, i know i said it but can somebody tell me or express opinion on Namie's singing live? Cause last year's concert feels really edited like...whole ^^ I don't know how people can complain on Ayu when here everything seems edited with extra layers of effects. As i said i enjoy Namie but i'm curious in this matter.

I remember someone said Namie sounds like a man live, and they actually make her vocals higher in pitch in the studio.
