^ lol

I liked her, but like others have said she just didn't release/record a lot of varied songs...she's obviously strong at ballads, but she didn't show her strengths in much else. It's a shame. I hope she pops up again one day.

Eeh~ On her official site, she hasn't updated her blog since May.

yeah, she really only had her voice going for her, and well, other big voices have definitely been more popular, like Ayaka, or now, Juju.

I was disappointed during her career to be quite honest, when she just started she was so promising - beautiful voice and beautiful face. But 3 albums she had I can only name a few good songs. Her albums were bad imo. No wonder she flopped, she didnt have catchy songs, nor some image to identify with, she was like... nor this nor that if you know what I mean. I feel so sorry for her since I still go back and listen to those few tracks I like because of her pretty voice... ahh...

If she's dropped from her label, I don't mind because she'd definitely be scooped up by one of our record labels here and would probably have some moderate amount of success. And then I can enjoy her songs/performances at home.

I remember my friend in Japan went to one event when she's present to sing and got her to sign his poster; the tickets were only 1500 Yen if I'm not mistaken it's kinda too cheap for a singer like her

I remember when I was listening her songs on youtube few years ago. I really enjoyed her music (That Nana song, Endless something was awesome) and I even downloaded one of her singles (Trust you) back in 2009. Too bad I never found any of her albums though. But I can say that she has a very beautiful voice. It's so bad if she was dropped from her label. :<

Woah, Yuna Ito one of the bigs? xD

She never sold amazingly well... actually, she probably is more famous for her Nana role than singing career...

Anyway... Jpop is a cruel market to women, it's expected that after u release 3 studio albums (one every year), u release a Best and after that u retire or keep a low profile career...

I could agree that HEART was terrible and that WISH was just all right, but DREAM was freaking amazing. I'm so sad that she probably won't release more music after such a step up.

Finally! A news of her whereabouts, I'll post it here in case someone miss it

Quote:
This is the first Yuna Ito post in over a year~!

She performed at Singapore Men's Fasion Week and gave an interview to the Strait Times, revealing she took a hiatus since 2010 because her career was moving too fast and in that time took acting lessons as well as dance to rediscover herself. She also revealed she is working a new album, that will mostly be ballads her strong suit and is open to singing Korean songs in the future since she is completely fluent. Her fans hotly anticipate her return to music after her sudden hiatus.

wow this thread reminds back to her. I completely forgot if she ever exist. now It's time to play Ima Demo Zutto, IMO thats her best song and the best ballad ever. every time I hear this song I shed my tear. for her album like most of all said boring. I only like the single tracks like Mahaloha, Precious, Miss You, ima demo aitaiyo and zutto, GATE, hmm I can't think any other good songs.
