Worst Colours PV & Discussion

For me the worst is Angel. The idea of the pv was good, but the execution is beyond terrible imo. Everytime the dancers appeared during the chorus I started laughing because it looked so ridiculous, and the editing in the end was just awful.

I can live with Lelio, because even if it looks ridiculous, it seems supposed to be that way in the first place, but I can't bring myself to like Angel's pv because I can see it was supposed to be beautiful and meaningful, but IMO it simply didn't work and ended up looking ridiculous and laughable.

Honestly most if not all the PVs had potential to become great but because of the little things , they all fell short of expectations

And for that it's a pity as the songs themselves are quite good . The PVs are the ones that more or less drag things down :x

Also I couldn't help but get the whole Maleficent vibe when ayumi 'grew' wings towards the end of Angel which I don't know if that's supposed to be good or bad -_-

I got reminded of those types of PVs too lol which is sad considering they were both debuts and those were their first PVs.

And even sadder that their PVs turned out better.

Okay... well.. Angel isn't TOO bad. I was worried. Sure it's rather cheesy, I get the point of the harness and the black wings. She's not an angel, but she wants to be, the best they can do is try and lift her up despite it?

XOXO, I wanted to take her phone and throw it away. Geez. As for the dancing, is that really Ayu?? Or a dancing double? The lights glaring at our faces makes me wondering if they were trying to hide it?

If xoxo is meant to be taken as a joke and shows how self centered girls can be with taking selfies and worrying about self image, and dancing over-sexually in clubs then she did an amazing job at reflecting it. It's Startin' part 2. I love it.

If xoxo is meant to be taken seriously and this is how ayu likes to have fun in her spare time and she actually thought this was a brilliant idea for a pv, and she thinks she's being cute, then I hate it.

Ugggg, I don't even know where to start. The songs are gold, luckily I don't watch PVs or MVs often so the album is still gold... but god... these are... ugh... Ayu WHY!!!

XOXO full version PV has an extra 10 seconds that doesn't do much.

in 1080p I think it's slightly better.. I can't get over hers and Lico's outfits but it's fun. I laughed really bad because in HD the weird extras she hired to lipsync looked even more awkward.

i also think she should've use a HTC One M8 cos it's got a 5 megapixel front facing wide angle camera. and she left her lipstick in the toilet (where does she keep it before that?????)

XOXO, its so skanky. Trashy. Ridiculous. I don't like the concept at all. And her outfit... what's the name of a woman dress and make-up like that parading on the street in the middle of the fking day? If she want to do that 'girls gone wild' thingy, she could stick with my name's WOMAN, from a timid working girl gone wild in the dance floor.

After watching XOXO in HD the only thing I don't like is the dance break when she's on the floor looks like she's really having sex and she will tweet something like OMG I had sex on the club and everyone was watching

Merry-go-round is kinda 'ayu classic' video. She looks gorgeous and thats all.
Angel would be fine if they would work a little with ending. The backround/dancers/her look + filter looks amazing. I just can't stand the cheesy ending with horrible effects.
XOXO is terrible. I can't stand her face expressions.
Lelio is "just fine". It's good she made something diffrent for a once.
I don't have opinion about animated Feel the love ver, is just fine i guess? I like the original one beside the CRUEL ENDING. I can't stand her "stupid blonde" acting.

YEEESSS!!! I tear up every time I watch it and think about the symbolism and lyrics with it...WHERE IS THAT AYU!?!?! T_T

I wasn't too impressed with this album tbh. I mean, I liked it, but something just didn't feel right. There was something missing. I can't really say what it was, but I didn't feel connected to these songs too much. Maybe my opinion changes when I get to translate those songs into Finnish for myself.

There are three songs that caught my attention (Terminal, Angel and Lelio). They were the ones that amazed me. Others are songs that I can only say that I like them. Some more (Merry-go-round, Hello new me and NOW & 4EVA), some less (XOXO, Feel the love, Pray and What is forever love?) but knowing me my opinion may suddenly change. It usually does that when it comes to Ayu, hehe. :3

And what comes to PVs... well, none of them were really impressing (although I haven't seen Merry-go-round yet) in my eyes. Especially that XOXO PV was annoying. Feel the love had a very nice idea of spreading love everywhere but that damn mouth animation just made me cringe in annoyance lol. Lelio was just weird as hell and Angel was nice, but it just made me think of Curtain call haha.

As summarized I'd say I like this album, but it's definitely not one of my favorites (yet). But it's not really shit either to me. It's one of those albums that has to grow on me for a while. There are two other Ayu albums that I get that similar vibe. Those are Secret and NEXT LEVEL. There were some epic gems on those albums but overall I wasn't impressed with them almost at all but since then they have gradually grown on me. Maybe CoLOURS will also do the same~

^I agree that XOXO is annoying. It's boring to watch, and IMO it's a PV that alienates fans.

I like XOXO, she looks good and it's fun. It's the best of the bunch for sure, but that's not saying much...

Lelio is the worst one, she looks awkward on top of it being bad. Angel is just... one of her dramatic arm waving performance in a video, down to the dancers around her with a harness. Should have just made a live MV considering the tour started last month. :/

As some others, the only PV I truly like is MGR. Feel the love is cute too though.

Overall the PVs looks tacky and so awkward, I was defending the cover's laziness but I just can't with the PVs. I can't. They wasted good ideas for a low budget mess.
Oh well, not a big deal for me. I'll get the CD only lol.

I liked the PVs in HD. They're not that spectacular, but they're entertaining, more than the ones she released since Love songs to me. The endless stream of trilogies and history/dramatic PVs since them were not my cup of tea
I remember really liking the Sweet Scar only.

XOXO is extra fun with the parody of selfies and the self-centering view of people nowadays, and imo it's overly exaggerated on purpose. The clothes on the regular street to criticize people who makes a high production for every time they're on street or just want to take a photo, the fight to appear in the camera and be the center of attention while appearing "casual". The isolation in the bathroom just to take a photo and seems pretty while everybody is having fun. And it was very nice to see her dancing again
I don't know if this is the reality of yours, but in my city this is a pattern of behavior that is easy to notice and see the references in the video.

Angel is beautiful, the CG on the wings could have been more elaborated, but this doesn't ruin the PV for me. The explosion of the chorus with the dancers was well thought and the effects here and there made it very good for me.

Lelio is regular, she doesn't seem so awkward dancing to me anymore, the effects were pretty good imo, always changing the background and being dynamic. And I won't say that these didn't require too much effort of her team because I really couldn't make it better and I don't know how much time they had, so, I think it's quite prepotent to judge them like that.
