the alterna PV is a lot better, much deeper.well, the PV is taking about ' the destruction of fairyland '( told by ayumi in a mag), the PV is quite related to the lyric though( i guess 'the place closest to forever' is a 'fairyland')

The fire scene didn't really match at all to me. She should have had fairies save the house. lol

But I liked it alot, she looked pretty good in it. =D I think most of the 2 million went into construction of the hut and the permit to light the house on fire, if it wasn't CG that is. xD

I love love loved it. It was beautiful and it felt like it couldn't fit the lyrics more. Much better PV than last year's INSPIRE. Love the simplicity.

This Pv is O.k, I prefer Alterna (is more creative, creepy and friki XD). I think that the PV is sO INSPIREISH (But more tropical)....I differ thoroughly with the scenes of the burning house, doesn't it agree with the atmosphere so clean and happy that was presented in the course of the video, did they Spend so many millions of yens in the house so that at the end the house burned?

It would be better than the money has donated it to those affected of the tsunami or they had given it to me to buy some tons of burritos XD.

Ja-woh! This PV is really.. what most PVs ought to strive for. We speak of storylines and general 'Ayu PVness' but this is a promotional thing for her song, right? It conveys the messages that she is speaking of, and conveys them in the finest way possible~ :3 I really should go to sleep now.. :3

In short, 'fairyland' is beautiful and is one of ayu's most beautiful and dance oriented PVs ever~ :3

It was so beautiful. The scenery, the waterfalls, Ayu, the flower, everything!!!
I LOVED the fast forward scene in the very beginning, it startled me and was so cool. I almost started crying when the fire started. jeez, I'm so emotional.
I like it more than the alterna PV.

It was a very pretty pv and a very bittersweet pv. "fairyland" is bittersweet itself, it's not as saccharin as it sounds :x

I think it was well done as a promotion. Perhaps the burning of the house is ayu's response to avex trying to push her to release happy bouncy songs in the summer, ballad in the winter etc. etc. Not every summer is entirely happy. Ayu sure looked good though .

I THINK THIS PV IS AWESOME!
it's not meaningless, its has a deep meaning
the first scene when we look ayu and the other really happy its show that she is still sleeping and dreaming...but in the interlude and when the house burn its totally different...and this part is full of emotion..i just love ayu eyes showing the emotion and its totally fit the song and the scene...its moving my emotion and i feel sad and want to cry..this part ayu open her eyes that means its her real world condition
OH MY GOD HER EYES IS FULL OF EMOTION...GREAT!!!
and then all people around her leave her alone..i think its show that her reality world is full of loneliness. maybe she affraid that everybody is happy with her and always support her just because her money..and when the money is gone everybody leaving her alone...
this PV still show her feeling and emotion. i love the song and the PV make me love the song more and more...LOVE IT VERY MUCH
i believe that this single can sales well...
ayu looks gorgeus and pretty too like always..she looks younger too with that look..
AWESOME!!! ayu i still support you always and forever

I don't wanna sound rude but...
avex, avex and avex. if ayu is so darn unhappy there then she would call it quits. you know, the contract doesn't mean that avex bought ayu's soul. yes, it can be broken(the contract, not ayu's soul )

that's just my two cents.

While this isn't the deepest PV, I sure can appreciate it for what it is. And it's not meaningless. I think that it represents something that's vulnerable to destruction. This seemingly perfect utopia... the happiest, most light-hearted place in the world, was destroyed in an instant. It's about being forced to leave behind memories and move on.

And while the song did not quite fit the latter part of the PV, I think it gave you something to think about; it gave you some emotion.

I'm just angry that they didn't show much of the chameleon XP...haha but he did get a close-up, if I remember correctly!

The PV was pretty much what I expected...ayu turns a happy song really sad, but this time, waiting till the middle of the song xD. I wish there was a *little* more to it, but the meaning got across and it was still beautiful. A very simple yet effective message of reality where life is not perfect...those shots with everyone jumping out the way of the burning house and kinda pushing into ayu, as she just stared, were a little touching ;_;... And the "burning of memories" was sad as well...

I feel this single will make tons...x3

honestly im quite disapointed, havnt seen such a bland ayu PV for probably 3 years

It has NO STORY line, just a whole bunching of jumping and smiling.. and I think the 240,000,000 yen was well wasted.. probably 3/4 of it was for the plane tickets and accomadations, and for the remaining quarter was for the burning house and plane scenes (which was few)

Agreed, for that amount of money I was expecting her to fart rainbows or something spectacular, the entire jumping around seemed to be a slow build-up to 'something' and I was ok with that, then it went to the house burning and I thought that was a real cop out. Yeah sure it gets the point in her lyrics across but for that much money the director could've taken the audience to tears with a much more bittersweet PV, instead he settles for confusing and confounding with stylism and aerial shots which were a bit uneeded after the umpteenth one.

I forgot to mention this PV reminded me alot of Hikki's Deep River PV, both of them very good PVs that show you don't need lots of in-your-face imageries to be powerful and get the message across.
Don't get me wrong I love pvs like 'alterna' but it doesn't hurt to be simplistic once in a while.

But I do agree the whole 'most expensive pv in Jpop history' is a bit of a letdown...sure it gets people interested but seeing just a houses getting burned down feels really anti-climatic. They should've just left the scene as it is without mentioning all the money that was used to make it.

Meh, it was ok, better than what I excepted, but still not very good. I liked the animal/nature shots more than I liked looking at Ayu and her dancers. The dancers seemed awkward to me, and, well I dunno, I didn't like them much...

*still waits for the album since I'm Mr.Anti-Singles *

Well.. it was certainly eye candy. Ayu didn't really dance much at all in this video (good). She kind of just stood there doing that hip and swaying arm thing. She clapped above her head a couple times haha. Her backup dancers did all the work ;D (sort of like the my name's WOMEN PV I guess, but not as seductive) When the house starts to burn, I thought it was pretty sad how all of Ayu's "friends" shove her out of the way and run off o.o

Hmm.. the PV was entertaining, but alterna is 9999999 times better. I'm not really sure what so much money was spent on to make this fairyland PV O.o if anything, alterna looked more expensive.

I think this PV was alright~
