okay.. so we all agree GEO sucks..
... do we really have to keep pointing out every similarity/copycat he does?.. Ah well, poor ayu..
but .. the song is still very beautiful.. makes me glad i've never heard the close encounters thing.. and i will not listen to that clip it has on the OP.. so i dont get a bad opinion.. i listened to the one about Pride and Crucified.. and it made things hard for me to listen to Pride now.. so.. ^_^;; yea..

^_^ love the song... *pets it*.. no harsh feelings to Ayu.. *pets Ayu*

but GEO must be stopped in Ayu's work now.. *kicks GEO in the butt out into the half melted snow/slush and icky rain they have in her city*.. hah

hahaha, that's funny.
Though it's only a small portion of the song that is alike, so don't freak out people..
If There's no reason to diss ayu...If you still think so...

and to make a point, GEO or w/e didn't compose this. it said is SOUNDED like geo conposed it...

To those of you who believe that Geo is a bad composer:
I will upload Jade from Sweetbox's discography tomorrow and maybe you'll stop bashing him. Geo is a GREAT composer believe it or not. As I've mentioned, it's just that Ayu might not be fit for the genre.

I dont think this is a big deal.
considering how many artist there are (and I dont mean japan only), and how many songs have been produced in the past decade alone, it would be a coincidence if a certain melody wouldnt have been composed already.
at least thats what I think... but I still hope either that this song was not composed by GEO or that GEO at least aint german (heard that somewhere)...
that would be another disgrace to bear...

I have actually heard those five notes in many other songs, some even with different keys, it is nice to see the resemblance but it's not like she took the sample out of that exact song.

IMO the good thing about this song is the repetitive vibe it gives because they play the same sample over and over again.

Many other repetitive songs have turned out to be huge hits, latest example would be madonna's hung up, but remember 2004's "yeah" by Usher? that was a hit all over the world and the song has the same sample through out the entire thing.

Oh Dear Lord!!! Sweetbox is a GERMAN POP group!?!? That explains why he's so bad. German pop is the worst.

No wonder Ayu's recent songs have sounded so bland, so generic.

I never liked german pop either... but I dont think Ayu's latest releases are generic, even if it took some time getting used to B&D for me
but this is going off topic now

i think that was ac over of a previous song

haha, this gets interesting!

Rather than sampling a Bach piece from another recording, Geo enlisted Boris Jojic to arrange "Air" for "Everything's Gonna Be Alright" and hired the German Symphony Orchestra Babelsberg to perform it.

Out of respect, Harris and Geo gave songwriting c redits to the great 18th century composer, even though it wasn't legally required.

i knew it was borrowwed as well!!!! Air's Bach is at the back of everything's gonna be alright... so

perhaps close encounter's OST is also based on cllssics... YES... LOOK.

Williams' music is firmly from the classical tradition, based heavily on the style of the late-romantics such as Gustav Mahler and Richard Strauss. I
http://www.mfiles.co.uk/composers/John-Williams.htm

John W. is the composer of Close enc's OST

so GEO is alover of classics and he likjes to use it in her compositions, their influence... hahaha , i'm a good detective, so perhaps , he has not copied close enc. OST, but he has been influenced again ^^ ..
