That definitely would've helped.

They... should've done something with Till the Wheels Fall Off, too. It had GREAT potential but then it just became this dull, reptitive, monotonous blur. I had really high hopes for the song at first.

Quirky R&B singer Kelis has been dropped from her Jive contract, according to a published report.

The artist released two albums on the label: 2003's "Tasty" spawned the hit "Milkshake" and sold 533,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen Soundscan. But last year's "Kelis Was Here" was the subject of numerous release date changes and has shifted just 157,000 to date.

Kelis' manager told Entertainment Weekly that the singer is working on an independent dance album with Cee-Lo. They're also shopping a pop album helmed by songwriter Guy Chambers, who co-wrote hits like "Angel" for Robbie Williams. In the meantime, Kelis is in talks to host a "Project Runway"-esque show for VH1 and is auditioning for various film and TV roles.

Jive was unavailable for comment at deadline.
Bullshiiiiit, at least we've a dance album I guess.

I saw that. WTH. 'Kelis Was Here' was an amazing album.

And yay, Cee-Lo. L'il Star was one of the best songs of 06. I think her mistake was releasing 'Bossy' first. She tried to go for 'Milkshake part 2', and ofcourse a decent lead single is better promo for an album. I still can't believe UK didn't get 'Blindfold Me'.

Is that 2 or 3 labels she's been dropped by now? Jive was Tasty onwards right?

she's been dropped many times now , but I don't think she's going anywhere

it's a shame tho , she's one of the few innovative & truly original female RnB/rap artists at the moment yet she's shunned ....
