i agree with this 100%
and ayu is too busy to have a love life
and if she ends up having a partner they wont have privacy
(idk how it was with tomoya or whatever his name was)

I agree with SunshineSlayer.

I think your job can only be part of it so much.

I think it's more her, and thats not a bad thing, but I dont think she'll settle down unless she finds someone that really amazes her and who she admires, and also that gives her what she wants...although she's used to getting that already...so maybe he'll have to give her something new...

lol Ayu reminds me of Queen Elizabeth I.

...which goes back to why sunshine is right lol.

Well, she used to have a very strong relationship. And now that it's been broken off, I'd imagine that if she has tried to date seriously at all since then, she's very cautious about everything.
But in general, to date a woman like Ayumi Hamasaki, it would be very difficult because of her schedule alone. Of course, you have to expect that if you start a relationship with a celebrity... But also... And nothing against our Ayu, but you can tell she's a woman with a lot of needs. Shoes, phones, computers, sparkles, bling.....lots of sparkles, lol. And she really seems like a very cuddly type of woman, too, hah. And of course, women with so many needs, especially when adding that with a celebrity status, can easily either scare off or intimidate men.

But honestly, I think she just may not have had the confidence and...energy, for lack of a better word, since her last one ended. (By last, I of course am referring to Tomoya.) This being because it still seems like she has never gotten over him, like a few people have said above.
Overall, she just has failure written all over her love life right now. :\ Love takes a whole lot of luck for anybody, so until she fully gets over what's in the past (if that is the case, which I can easily see), regains total confidence, and realises that love will come if she is willing to wait and be ready when it finally does come, she will not be able to somebody. Which is true for everybody. I believe that no matter who you are, you have to go through the same things to find love. Just some people have such greater luck, so they don't need to try as much or wait nearly as long for love...

Usually, we do care a lot of the health and happiness of people we love, don't we?
i believe most of her fans are afraid to perceive her lonelyness and sadness and we'd just like to see her realized also in her lovelife.
Is just about affection.

Someone mentioned the problems with her father role...yep, I agree, but just in part. My dad died falling down from a mountain when i was just 6.
this has been a huge trauma and i admit that growing up in a matriarcal family later made things difficult when i had to approach to men's world.
Anyway I'm 22 and i'm happily married, so i believe it isn't compromising.

^Your father died... her father left her family.... It's totally different... She has some songs about her doubts if her father leaving was her fault and if he loved her... It's not about being raised on a matriarcal family, it's about having problems on trusting them, being around them...

and IMO having a lover =/= being happy

Yeah but it's a natural instinct to want one, and it provides a kind of support that friends can't (vice versa as well--I'm not saying anything against the value of good friends).

I hope Ayu's earliest experiences with a father/husband figure don't ruin her chances.

My dad left home and never came back..do you think for a child makes difference if he left or died?
Childrens' mind has not the toold to realize an abandon or a death, they look the same. if he left you feel guilty because you think to be the cause; in my case i fely guilty because i thought i should have convinced him to stay at home.

If you leave and grow up among women is natural to find difficult trusting or just understanding men's environment.
But it isn't a handicap.

Yes, it does. It makes a big difference. I'm not making light of your father dieing or anything - mine died too at a young age. But they are indeed completely different things.

^This... C+R+E+AYUMI, I'm not saying that ur situation is easier, but that even if u felt abandoned, it's not the same as feeling abandoned by someone who still is alive, who should love you and care about you according to society but that simply don't... Children are not stupid nor blind, and I'm pretty sure those 2 possibilities would hit a person in different ways...

And if he really died some years ago and she knew this, according to Memorial Address, she felt even worst for not trying to go after him when she was adult...

If you're father abandoned you and is still living, there's more resentment. Because he made a choice not to be with his family - a conscious decision. But if you're father dies, it's really out of your hands. It's a bigger void. Unless of course the cause of death is suicide, no one really chooses to die, it's a lot more.... hopeless. But both situations are horrible.

Anyway. I hope Ayu finds someone soon. I don't know why she hasn't and I don't particularly want to analyze it. But to be honest, I understand her feelings.

I don't think she's that lonely or searching for a love right now. If it comes, it will come. There's not much to discuss because SunshineSlayer pretty much gave the most valid points.

Ayu is independent and strong, no need for a man in her life She got us. xD

I pretty much agree with sunshineslayer, and, even though she talks about loneliness, it's also possible that Ayu has no desire to be in a serious relationship right now. She's still young and has lots of connections so if it comes later it will.

She's also a very headstrong and independent woman...I could easily see her being the dominant role in a relationship, so she would have to find someone willing to let that happen. If it's a man she wants, it could be harder to find in her society, especially with fellow celebrities.

Also, one of the things that I always related to in Ayu was that both of our fathers abandoned us. There is very strong resentment in that sort of thing, even when you get over it and just don't care anymore. (I pass my biological father daily in my small podunk town and barely bat an eyelash) Being fatherless, however, isn't what keeps me out of a relationship, but I also have no interest in men anyway so I don't even consider it. I think in Ayu's case that's her own thing to deal with if she thinks it's a hindrance.

oh I believe she was too dedicated to her job.. n her often hangs out with her staff members. Probably she won't have the time.
Anw, I believe in fate. so if fate comes Ayu will meet her true love, and by that time it's smth tat she can't hide or run away from. =D

I think it's just her job. I mean can you imagine having a relationship with someone when you're constantly traveling somewhere, or having to work long hours for preparations for a concert or song. It's not easy at all.

I think... it's ok if she's on her own, as long it's a conscious decision

because otherwise it could be as sunshineslayer said, and that would mean unresolved issues from the past.

i know what you feel and i agree with sunshineslayer
my father abandoned me too when i was a little child
i'm 25 years old now, and i don't have a serious relationship until now
i don't know why, but i have a trouble with trusting men and (inside of me) i'm a little afraid it will happend to me too
