^doubt they'll make an OS press x)
At least I can say I helped her sales with my copy.. Even planning on getting the CD only next month.

Too bad she waited so long to release the album and not promote it well enough...

I recently started listening to "mini" and I must say that I'm highly impressed. Her album is pretty damn good. Not one of my favorites but still very enjoyable.

I hope she releases more music.

I don't think they will...

I doubt they expected it to sell well...

although, I did think she'd get at least a few thousand...........

Her sales are painfully low. Like, its such a solid album. But I guess it doesn't matter with such little exposure. Its just really frustrating as a fan.

It's really upsetting to me when an album that is really good gets low sales. I mean, if an album is mediocre, I could care less. It deserves low sales. But with people like mini, it's depressing because you know the reason why it isn't selling is because of poor circumstances.

I think it deserves to sell at least a few thousand...it definitely is better than some of the music out on the Japanese market. I don't think it's an extraordinary album, but it's pretty solid.

My favorite songs were Pray, Are U Ready, Hakopuninsosu, & Take a Feel.

It really does deserve to sell more...I think if she released it over here it would sell more, because us westerners love electro dance tracks, especially at the moment. Whereas Japan seems to be hooked on more of the cute girls singing cute songs or ballads at the moment, like AKB48, who they are obsessed with.

But I like that fact that mini went with the music genre that she likes, instead of following the trend of doing cute songs/ballads that do well. I like her concept and it shows her originality. I really hope she doesn't get dropped and releases more, even though 400 is not great. ):

^ For once, I agree. mini should have debuted when Perfume was all the craze. Like legit everywhere. The Perfume craze has died down somewhat and now Japan is back to the same 'ole same 'ole

I don't find that to be a fair comment to international fans. I do buy all the music I possibly can from the singers I love. I don't always get them opening week, but I do get them. It costs nearly double what people in Japan pay for the same thing. I buy all releases from my favorite singers who are released over here pretty much the day its available. Its dirt cheap on iTunes. I have to save up to buy J-Pop, or buy when there are many many things I want so I can save on shipping. Plus, for example, Britney Spears releases an album every like, year and a half and its $10 on iTunes. Koda Kumi releases an album every year, plus singles, DVDs etc. and they are all upwards of $20.

^I agree. I would buy it but I don't use itunes and unfortunately being a student I don't have the money to spend £22/$34 odd on a CD right now, hell, that almost accounts for a week of food for me. I would LOVE to be able to buy more of the music I love, and hope that I can in the future, but being an international fan where its so much more pricey, especially compared to artists over here, it can get very expensive. But that doesn't mean I can't like her music and try to support her by spreading the word.

Exactly. Also, it doesn't take away from the fact that we are disappointed that people in Japan, who have easy and cheap access to this album still aren't buying it.

it usually doesn't matter if we buy albums or not the few hundred people in the US (obviously way less here) hardly makes any difference in normal sales.

I guess here it would be nice though lol

I wonder how much albums usually are in Japan? On Yeasasia they are a lot more expensive!

And clothes too, I've always wondered?

I usually check the site, or when I have the CD I look at the obi, its usually listed there. I don't know why, its just torture to see that I've paid double what the album is worth in markup and shipping.

Hmmm, looking at the Obi's on my Koda Kumi CD's, the prices seem to be the same as Yesasia...At least for Kuu CDs? Maybe Japanese CD's are just that expensive? D:
