Well, Avex's weirdsy. They do lousy marketing, have absolutely horrendous money sucking mechanisms (like different CD+DVD covers), have like totally horrific cover designs (just look at misono's latest single cover, NOT to mention the cover of (miss) understood CD version, URGH, what were they thinking).

Yup, they're weird. Very weird in fact. I seriously have no idea what they're thinking.

It's either 11/8 or 12/13 (and later). I doubt avex would put Ayu against Mr. Children, 2 NANA singles and obviously not against EXILE/Kuu.

I guess it's just like Westlife in the UK, screwing up everyone elses careers despite being something so mediocre.

I don't know why they have such high sales in the first place..

They've got crap in terms of stability.. x.x Fangirls are indeed a force to be reckoned with. But the sad thing is that when you debut as your highest.. ever.. stuff..

It can only go down from there.
750k for first single, 450k for second..

And MC Tatsujin, you're absolutely right. Their music really is quite mediocre yet their massive promotion is quite obviously a large factor in their success. When I was in Japan, I saw a damn truck with their faces on it and it just blasted SIGNAL through these speakers that were attached to it. It just drove right through Shibuya in its attempt to dominate the world

^ See! It's all marketing! That's how Koda is thriving eventhough her songs aren't much. Yume no Uta palesss in comparison to Ayu's mega ballads. Yes, I mean it, I'm not biased. Even the 4 Hot Wave songs, Ningyo Hime excepted.
