Yeah, I agree that taking a break before an image change is the best idea so that's why VIVID shouldn't have been released just a couple months after THE FACE. BoA should have had break and then we should've gotten a new image that people have been waiting for.

We need more songs like LOSE YOUR MIND, Girl In The Mirror or something like Dakishimeru. The attitude that BoA had in the LOSE YOUR MIND video was amazing. So spunky and refreshing. I'm fine with cute and I actually liked VIVID but I would much rather get some more dance songs instead of songs which BoA seems fake in [Kissing you PV] COME ON AVEX!

Why is everyone upset with #3 and nearly 8k sold? BoA was NEVER a single artist, and after the performence of her last few singles from THE FACE and MADE IN 20 that's a really good position. I'll be satisfied if she can sell 20k first week.

The thing is, BoA is considered one of the bigger and more influential artists, it's sad to see her sell so badly.

She should bring her korean image to Japan, I mean her last two korean albums were great! Releasing in Japan doesn't always have to mean sparkly super poppy happy lucky songs. D:

Yes, her album sales are always good and her tours do pretty well. And to me those are both more important than single sales. She's just never been a good seller. Her best first-week sales were 66,000 with DO THE MOTION. At least her sales have barely decreased over the past 7 years (in terms of singles) and she's remained relevant. Look at Mai Kuraki, She had many million sellers near when BoA came out and now BoA is outselling her. I guess maybe it's just me who thinks BoA's doing great.

my first thought when i heard an english band is going to cover BoA's Merikuri, my first thought was they going to use the melody + new english lyrics + rock arrangements... but it turned out to be something like some fan-boy covering Merikuri on youtube >_<
