It's a card that can replace the actual cover and probably has the "You were... / BALLAD" or "BALLAD / You were..." text on it. Ayu hasn't really had these extras before IIRC, but in other examples [like for K-ON!'s OP single], they're just an alternate photo which is why most think that a set of poses with her in that feathery fairy outfit will be the shots used for the cover cards. Unless for some reason it's just a card with the cover printed on it again [highly unlikely] or has Ayu looking in some other direction with her head turned slightly [also unlikely imo, but still possible] so... hm. It doesn't seem like this sort of first press extra is all that common in the industry anyway.

This all makes me wonder if she's going to go for the CD+DVD slim cases this time around since the CD+DVD cases she uses nowadays don't allow you to switch jacket photos without popping the case open. Most buyers of J-Pop CDs in general seem to buy CD+DVD versions if they're available, and Ayu's tend to be fat with the cover [in thin card form] stuck in the front so it's not as though one can just stick another booklet in front unless you cut a page out.

^I hate it when she uses those two cd case cases. it takes up twice the room. I just want her to do that front/back cd/dvd thing and make it easier. I don't have full custom shelves for this. I have a cd tower that is 90% filled right now, and it's difficult to fit double cd singles anywhere.

I hate Ayu's thick cases for the CD+DVD versions!!! >_< I wish her CD+DVD versions would be like Utada's for Be My Last and Passion. (Those two mentioned and Ayu's are the only CD+DVD CD's that I ever bought so I can't compare to others... )

For singles, I do find it very annoying. But for albums somehow it's okay.

Here's my attempt at translating the lyrics in the "You were..." preview. I'm not posting the romaji I worked from just because it's probably embarrassingly bad. XD Take these with a grain of salt, I probably have alot of things wrong, but it gives you an idea of what she's saying.

The first part's translation is based on what ayu posted on her blog though.

You're not the only one!! I feel like the You were... lyrics reference the last part of M, which makes the lyrics all the more powerful. Looks like the wish and the praying in M didn't come true.
