omg I love the covers for Kingdom so much. I think they're some of her best. I hated the clown cover for TRICK but the other one was ok.
this whole shoot was great though.. classy, gorgeous, etc.

The TRICK that exists in my head is excellent! (it's just the first half of the tracklist)
and omg I that logo!Kingdom's artwork owns a lot of artwork...seriously. It was just, masterful. I'm taking the logo png thanks tsubasa

I also love TRICK as an album, it's one of my favourites.
It's funny, but it seems most "hard" fans of Kumi love TRICK and the more casual listeners don't, that's a thing I notice while being in 3 forums.  Ah and here's a better translation from tenshi_no_hane for Kuu's anniversary message:  Quote:

^ FinalFayth's one is good too though ;D The 'our' in 'our love' is more interpretation since Japanese tend to leave stuff out xD (though she could also be talking about a friend who supported her when she is/was in love)

I think it's hard to make a good ranking for her albums:
01. Black Cherry 02. Kingdom/ BEST ~second session~/ Feel my Mind 03. TRICK/ secret 04. grow into one 05. affection it's hard, cause even if grow into one is on the 4th place, it doesn't mean i hate or something! It's just hard to make a normal ranking with so much good albums! xD So even TRICK is on the 4th place, i really love it, BUT compared to the other albums i think it's on 3 with secret! Spoiler:
And did you guys noticed on her 10th logo it says Aaniversary instead of Anniversary!? xD

Her English stuff forever has spelling errors lol.
And I'm not too fond of the 10th Anniversary logo... I mean it's almost the same as the Kingdom logo, which is really pretty, but I was hoping for something completely different lol.

 as always Gubsi is an expert in dishing out such pics LOLLLL 8D anyway over the 10th anniversary logo , it might have been better if the words 'th' weren't overlap , it might make things nicer a bit

 because I luv it  god I want the new album. btw, the new layout is still worse then best secon session one about the rankings, my favs 01 Secret 02 Best Second session I don't like BC *fans kill me* Kingdom so-so. was excited about TRICK but now it seems not so good to me

i dont think i'll get the love for black cherry ever.
the singles were fantastic (mostly), but it was just a disaster when they put it all together. my album ranking: 1) BEST~second session~ totally fantastic, one smash single after another. And the couple of new tracks were great as well. fantastic covers and great dvds as well. 2) Kingdom a little bit more laid back than her other albums surrounding it. very cohesive and mature. i wasnt too fond of the singles at first, but they really pulled the album together. its a great listen. 3) secret just classic. its a little bit long (with all the bonus tracks and whatnot), but its still a great pop album. it really speaks of what kuu is as an artist. 4) feel my mind soo underrated! a really fun and strong album with great flow. i love how basic some of the songs are. they dont try to be epic or life changing. its just good, fun music. 6) affection im honestly not super familiar with this album, but i enjoy the sound of it. its interesting to listen to kuu as a newcomer! 5) grow into one still, not really familiar with this album either. has some great singles! 6) Black Cherry awesome and fantastic singles. but they were too all over the place. the album tracks were mild hit and massive miss for me. this album seems to just slam into you and strangle you with loud music from any genre it can find in the hopes that youll lilke something oh-my-god-please-its-soooo-desperate!! SHSYHSETJHSETJUAHJAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! 7) Trick TABOO, Driving, Just the Way You Are. Everything else is, absolutely terrible. I have listened to this album soooo many times, trying to like it. Those are the only tracks I can ever actually enjoy. The rest of it feels too processed and over-thought. Shes working on a formula which is now stale. For me it's
1. grow into one 2. BEST ~second session~ 3. affection 4. secret 5. TRICK 6. Kingdom 7. Black Cherry 8. feel my mind. With the exclusion of feel my mind which felt fillery but had great singles and some album tracks my favorite albums by kuu are all of the ones until BEST ~ss~ included. The rest never did it to me like the others but there was a bit of improvement with TRICK and hopefully UNIVERSE will be better. ^^ |
