I don't think she needs to take a break as well. She should focus into her personal life while working, I mean, it's not like normal people quit their work when they have a relationship/get married/have a child. why would she? it's a different kind of work but it's still work!

Poeple change. And Ayu gets older, her feelings and priorities might change. So maybe she'll work differently this year, while focusing on private life. Maybe no tour, but more singles. Or just later in the year album and tour. She never had an fixed release/work rhythm anyway. Always loved that.

Exactly. People work 5 days a week for years and take vacations every few months. It shouldn't be any different for her especially now that she isn't as active when it comes to promoting as she used to be.

i read somewhere that her tour this year is going to be delayed, as she hasn't really announced anything new about her single or album. so it might be no tour this year?

A break could be good for her and her boyfriend, but maybe it could affect her image again (i can see comments like: you're lazy, you aren't even promoting in Japan, you don't respect your fans, blah blah blah)

I think that if she decides to go on a hiatus that would be like she is digging her own grave for her carrier.
Staying a bit out of the spot light is all well and good but to pull a break of her singing carrier like for example Utada wouldn't exactly do wonders for Ayu either.
I would like some kind of info like what is she doing regarding new songs, videos and such.
I hate it when i have so much room to speculate and have so many "what if" sessions

If people hate you that is good, that mean you are a mover and shaker. An anti-fan is just as interested in hearing what she is up to as a fan, its a kind of attachment.

When you are a megastar like Ayu it is a lot of the time more beneficial to take a hiatus because there will still be interest in her music because she has such a long history in the industry, but it will create a kind of intrigue in the public of missing her. Two recent examples are Beyonce and Lady Gaga. Plus people take time off work for maternity leave all the time.

really? rumor that there's no concert? i booked my tickets to japan...

i hope she releases news soon... so at least i can start planning, with or without her concerts. I agree she needs a break though!

That is a pretty weird rumor tbh... after year after year of concerts, there's no real proof that she'd stop now. Sure, she's a bit quiet now, but there's going to be an explosion of news most likely. I do wonder what they'll talk about in ViVi later this month.

I'm guessing the tour will be starting much later than we are used to. May, perhaps?

It's strange that there is no news about the tour at this time...
maybe she'll postpone it a bit?

Or maybe someone will slip about 'next year's tour'.

I agree with Japanese fans who think that she'll announce new album release at some point this year and then new tour will follow. As of now it's weird to go on tour without new material considering she already had Best of tour last year. I'm excited that this year is diffrent as much as I was excited that she ended her latest CDL with Bold & Delicious instead of Who or My all.

ayu just had a new entry in her blog that she got an offer from an artist (to be in his album?) and she wants to deliver a lot of kinds of music this year =))
