nah, not true... just cuase you're new to this forum doesn't mean you're new to ayu... I have been a fan of ayu for few years and I've not reached a high post count. I just don't post here often... I agree with Deli-chan and yaten-sama


As for it being Ayu, perhaps it's the quality. I heard someone say it didn't sound like her on that link but they heard the broadband version and said it sounded more like her... I can pick out ayu's voice very easily becuase it's so different from everyone elses... and this girl doesn't have the voice... but I can hear the vibrato and that's ayu's vibrato... but the girl does not even sound like her voice is in the same octave as ayu's.... Again maybe it's the poor quality... either way hopefully we'll know soon. And either way it doesnt sound like even 50% chance of being ayu : / but again, it's my opinion




BTW - elegantayu - you SUCK! J/K... I just wanted to tell you that your avatar rocks! I love Billy Bowd... he's so adorable!!! And he can sing!

In agreement there ^^ Pippin singing hasta be one of my favorite scenes in the third movie if not my absolute favorite.

And i figured out what it is... ayu's just pronouncing things weird o_O like when she's saying "hana" at the very beginning, that isn't usually how she pronounces her "a" sounds. But in the broadband version you can hear her "i" sounds more clearly and those definitely sound like her.

Why would Ayu be in a commercial with a song that's not hers? Has she ever done that?
Besides, Ayu's voice's changed a lot over the last few years.
It used to be really high. Almost sounded nasal-ish.
Now she sings lower.

I agree with FancySN .... ayu's always been using her own songs in her commercial .. and i don't think they would've shown the name of the song if it wasn't ayu's song ...

and it DOES sound like ayu .. maybe just a different way of singing .. isn't this a good thing? anyway ...that's just what i think

No, she hasn't allways used her own songs! In a Lumix CM, there is a song called Breathe, and that's not hers! So she could be using some other song in this CM too. But I really don't get how you guys can say it's not her. Anyone who is a fan of Ayumi, can easily hear it's her. Maybe she sings a duet or something, but I dont think so, becuause in all of her songs (as far as I know), she has put a "layer" with higher/lower pitch vocals on the instrumental, so that's why it sounds like two people. But I can't say I like this song, so far. But maybe the whole song is better. Angels Song was much better than the clip of it in her CM.

I'm sure it's Ayu. . . but the background vocals nearly overshadow her voice which makes it very hard to tell if she's really singing. If it is Ayu, she's using her nasal voice again just like she did in "+," "Greatful Days," and in "ANGEL'S SONG." If you listen to any of those songs and then listen to the commercial again, you can tell it's her voice in "Moments."

The song ("Moments") sounds like a combination of TO BE, End Roll, and SEASONS. Maybe D.A.I. composed it and D.A.I. + Naoto Suzuki arranged it! That would be great.

Actually the song wasn't called breathe in that LUMIX CM. It was a song BY a group called "BREATH" (led by Kazuhito Kikuchi, who's written several ayu songs).

Anyway, I think it IS true that they'd show the group name as opposed to the song title if it wasn't ayu singing the song.

I don't mean to be a downer or anything, but seriously, how do you guys NOT THINK it's Ayu? O_O; I mean, it even sounds as if its one of her songs or something from the past. Anyways, the CM versions of songs that haven't been released sometimes sound different anyway, right? Oh well. It'll be hard to convince you people! D

I'm deadly sure that it's Ayu singing in the CM.
In 'Moments', it seems to me that Ayu attempted singing falsetto which, as far as I've noticed, she hardly ever sang in her previously songs apart from SEASONS. Since we're literally UNFAMILIAR with Ayu's falsetto, it's not surprising that some people tend to think the vocal in Moments doesnt sound like Ayu.

hmmm, good point... it might be her singing falsetto... becuase I can here the ayu when she says nara... and the vibrato is sooooo ayu... but the voice... it truly sounds like a younger version of ayu... but I cleary can not say that it sounds like her... becuase it truly doesn't, save a couple of words and elongated notes : /

It really sounds alot like ayu to me. Just that she's singing with a more unique voice, but I see the point why some wouldn't think it's by ayu. We'll look forward and see if she'd release a song called moments XD
