Yes, I would only recomend that as a last resort. When I tried to go the LiveGenic tour, you could hardly find any tickets at all in the resale shops.

Good to know about the fanclub though! That does make it infinitely easier.

Her singles never sell very well phisically and this week the competition is strong. Birghter Day debuted at #8 on Oricon but digitally was a big success.

Mint is #1 on recochoku and itunes, Chit Chat at #7 and #10.

I remember when the preview for Mint was out I wasn't sure if I would like it, but with the full version I was amazed.
The same happened with Chit Chat.

I liked most of her songs released in recent years. She does everything pretty good.

I think so too. I love all her recent releases and I like that she is always trying something new. She deserves the success she has. Though I could go without her singing whole songs in English... not because her English sounds awful or whatever, I don't mind it most of the time, but I love her singing in Japanese I'm happy when she releases songs like Mint or Chit Chat when she mixes both languages.

I love Mint. The sentences - even though I don't understand anything - seem to rhyme for some reason. Perhaps it's the 'ai' sounds (saiko, saigo, dekinai no) I don't know, I find it very pleasant to listen to xD

But I didn't understand she actually sings "straight at me " in one part of the lyrics.
I only could tell after Miduhyo provided the lyrics here.
Sometimes she pronounces things really well in English and then at some other point little words and sentences are suddenly hard to make out. It's surprising

I totally get what you mean. I felt, for the most part, her English was amazing on the FEEL album, minus some trouble in some parts here and there, so I remember feeling kind of confused when _genic came out and I couldn't understand half of what she was saying. It either sounded mumbled, grumbled, or just without attempt. Same thing with some of the singles that followed after.

Now, don't get me wrong. Namie is very brave to be singing in a language that is not her native tongue. I'm not trying to bash or anything. In fact, I'm one of the few who actually doesn't mind that she releases albums in almost full English. I just feel that sometimes she puts so much effort into pronunciation and then other times just goes with the flow. It's very distracting at times. Like, I want to sing along!! What are you saying, girl!? xD

Maybe it also depends on whether a song is fully sung in English or whether it's half Japanese/half English?
Because I feel like in the songs she sings in both Japanese and English, her English is sometimes harder to understand.
