haha. there is no need to get offended. the writer is just trying to bring in some "spice" to the story, which is exactly what most readers want: entertainment. there is no need to read so deep into the article. moreover, japanese pop culture has more or less died down in singapore already. there are few publications that cover the japanese entertainment scene now so the fact that ayu still made it in our news is not exactly bad news right.
