It also makes fine sense for them both to have an A. edit: Sorry, actually I believe that the A was actually a combination of both the T and the A? That's why it's stylized the way it is.

And...it's also not weird that there are only a few photos of them. Paparazzi in Japan are not like here, and celebrities in Asia sometimes have to be EXTREMELY careful.

I'm sure plenty of high profile people there have relationships without any pictures being released, or no one ever knowing.

Right, I remember that her tattoo was altered...but I so forgot what it looked like before so I wasn't exactly sure. I remember there was a definite reason as to why the A looks the way it does...

and compare that to the pics that were in magazines around the time of L. My guess would be the old one was henna or something temporary and then she didnt have a tattoo there through the years I've seen her in concert pouring sweat and no sign of a tattoo or makeup to cover it. then she added a permanent tattoo when she started having it visible all the time.

That is strange about the colouring of her tattoo. She has been known to add stuff to it, like the cover of Secret. Who knows.

I read here on this site a few years back that he was married with a kid. I didn't fact check it, so I apologize for that.

You're all still obsessed with Nagase, and it's really really bizarre. Every month there's some new thing with 20 or so members here desperately wishing they'd get back together. It's WEIRD. You've all taken this obsession so far that you're associating her creative talent with who she dates. That's insulting to Ayu. What's even STRANGER is that so many people on here want them back together after he CLEARLY hurt her in a very deep and powerful way. She spent YEARS writing songs about the emotional toll of a lost love. Imagine if she read these posts, flaming her for following her heart and marrying Mannie, then reminiscing about how much better she was when she was with Nagase. It's obsessive, and I can't imagine how this **** would wear on Ayu. We're supposed to love her here, not who she's with.

I'm sorry if my critical assessment of a behavior I find really irritating on this board is rude to you. I'm not being condescending, you're adding that inflection as you read it. People are all allowed to go on about how they want Ayu back with Nagase, and I'm allowed to point out how weird and obsessive the frequency of which it occurs is on a board I've been visiting for 8 years now.

I know you just rezzed this thread, but did you not read some of the assertions people are making? That her music was better when she was with Nagase, that he was her muse. If he was her muse, she wouldn't be able to write at all without him there to inspire her. She couldn't have written about the lost love, any of that. It's saying her music after they broke up isn't as good. To me, that's insulting. That diminishes the amazing emotional capacity Ayu has to share with us. Her talent is not the product of some man, and her greatest music wasn't written because she had one. She did it all, she had those emotions, she experienced every dazzling moment of it herself. I think this is a horrible assertion, so I'm going to say so. To go to such lengths and connect such strange dots to come up with such a belittling conclusion is obsessive. It's also somewhat misogynistic, but I wont go there.

The thing is, you are not "pointing out" anything. What you are doing is stating your opinion, which is fine, but don't make it sound as though its a fact that people who like Ayu and Nagase together are "weird". And the people who think that Ayu's music was better when she was with Nagase are allowed to think that are allowed, as that is an opinion, too. No one is "right" or "wrong" to think the way that they do. People influence the other people in their lives, and perhaps some fans think that Nagase's influence on Ayu's life contributed to the music she made, due to what she was feeling, which is not so far fetched as you are making it seem. Its not to say that its affected her effort, or the quality of her music, but that they connect to the emotions in the "Nagase era" songs better and that's a valid opinion. No one has said that Nagase is who enabled Ayu to make good music.

And how, exactly, was your post meant to sound, if not condescending, considering your choice of language? You were pretty much trying to tell people that their opinions were wrong.
