^ btw X JAPAN also made a concert at Le Zenith. the place was full, there were lots of people from different parts of Europe and lots of Japanese.
I'm sure ayu will sold out there. the more I think about this project, the more I'm confident we'll reach our goal.

Not going to put too much stock in this, but AHS has a lot of members from Florida. ;D And I'm definitely not someone who can afford to go all the way to like New York or California, so... yeahhh.

This topic has been inactive for almost a week...
Guys for those who doesn't know, Ayu is opening tomorrow her official Facebook Page. Please, like her and like the page "We want Ayumi Hamasaki WORLD TOUR!!!" as well, so she can see how many of us are calling for it!! This will make a big difference! (へ。へ)y

Me too, I think if she does do a world tour the dates will be pretty much similar to what Utada did.
Hawaii California Washington California Las Vegas Chicago Boston New York London London Except probably less US dates and some Brazilian dates instead. But really I don't think there is much chance of this happening, Utada probably already knew she was retiring and wanted to do something for International fans and she has much more of a International presence than Ayu. At the end of the day Avex are going to look at it like this...why spend a month touring the world which is costly when they can do 8 Arena dates in Japan with overpriced tickets and sell a crapload of merchandise? Most of the asian artists who are performing outside Japan are visual-kei/jrock groups or singer (if we count Gackt).
Usually there are more visual-kei/jrock fans than jpop ones though. Especially in Europe. But, it doesn't mean that a jpop singer couldn't sell some tickets as well. Utada's London concert gone pretty well. I don't really think there will be a concert here in Italy :/ but lol I don't care. To be honest I would go anywhere in Europe to see an Ayu concert .

those things are actually long waited, I mean it took over a year for GACKT to come here, they firstly did a questionare for overseas fans, and eventually there was a show small/simple enough to bring it overseas. I think a few shows like 3-4 would be totally enough as for the start, just to see how things would go. I went to Germany for GACKT, i'd totally go somewhere for Ayu too. And of course seeing one of those grand shows of hers would be amazing, but trust me there's nothing more awesome as being 5 meters away from the stage and seeing every expression on the artists face, being close to the inspiration, most importaint hearing the performing live. It's sureal....
So i'm all for the small venue type of concert. I think she could pull that off just as good as the huge visual ones.

Because Ayu has a big market in Japan, why do small dates in a 1000-2000 person venue half way across the world if you can sell out a stadium in Tokyo? It doesn't make business sense and everything Ayu/Avex does is motivated to make as much revenue as possible.

I'm sure such small venues wouldn't be appropriate for an ayu show. Especially if she has to transport her whole crew with her around the world just to play to audiences of a few hundred per show. The tickets would be outrageously expensive then.

Yes, when I was at an event a friend of mine brought her KAT-TUN Uchiwa and everyone was laughing at us for being Jpop fans because basically everyone was Jrock fans. I think it's hard for such a big artist or more, avex makes it hard

she don't need to make ultra-cool show with 100 tones of decorations
Japanese artists goes overseas just because they can do it. Don't think about it only in money aspect |

Because an artist like Ayumi Hamasaki playing in a small 1,000 person venue isnt exactly a headline Avex wants to read, they want something more along the lines of Ayu sells out Yoyogi Stadium all dates.

Touring the US and UK is not a "world tour". Maybe 3-4 continents is more reasonable.
Utada toured the US and London because that's where her English album was released. Ayu doesn't release anywhere outside of Asia, so where she tours (if she does a world tour) is completly up in the air. She'd probably do Asia again (maybe Singapore, Kuala Lumpur or Bangkok this time), New York, LA, Paris, London and maybe somewhere in Spain (Barcelona?)
