Wow, this was a pleasant surprise! From the previews, I didn't think I would like it, but from the moment I heard the opening, I was very surprised. I love the arrangement and her voice sounds great. I like it a lot better than CAROLS and Walking Proud (probably my two least favorite songs on My Story. I liked them, but they were just...eh, in my opinion). I can't wait to see the PV!

yeah it's so short sounds like a verse was chopped off in between 2:55

I was really surprised at how well this song came out to be. The previews didn't really shock and awe me... just another ayumi ballad song. I personally love her more rock and upbeat songs but this would be one of the few ballads that I'd find myself listening too. After listening to the radio version, it's caught my attention and it sounds beautiful.

I don't really go into deep analyzing any kind of song. I'll listen to it, if I like, I like, if I don't, I don't. Simple as that. Nothing like... OMG THE CHROUS IS LIKE UGH AND THEN IT'S LIKE SO SPEEDY AND OMFG WHY IS IT SO SHORT WTH IS WRONG WITH AYU?! OMG IT'S SO RUSHED AND OMFG WHERE IS THE CLIMAX HUH WTF AYU.

Her lalas are incorperated into this song... mwhahaha, I love her lalas.

This is most definitely my most favorite ayu song!!! This is so different from her other songs... i really think she'll win with this single! I bet you right after this song, all who heard it cried...

EDIT: it does sound cut off... May be AVEX presented a shorter version... may be because it's 6:00, and had to be cut off (I WILL, NEVER END [NAmie Amuro])

I listened to it again today after coming home from school... and I am getting quite emotional after listening to it...

I love everything before the chorus. All of it were great! the verses, the instrumentals, the part where it ascends to the chorus. all of those were amazing! The chorus is good though not of my liking yet because of the static. when i heard the previews i wasn't too happy bout heaven. but after hearing the verses et al, im in love with it

Well, I thought HEAVEN was gonna be boring at first but after hearing the full version (eventhough the quality sucked) I was really happy! It was like a heavenly version of Surreal! Pickle Cookies, Moments and Carols made me like Ayu... Why dont you like 'em? To each his own? Yeah, fierce, I also wish the chorus happened more often..

form what i know, that noise is form PV, this song is PV RAP,but NOT radio(seems someone misunderstond that), and the source(pv) is in very LOW quality, the original one don't has that kind of 'explosion'(??)

acutally, the PV is found on some japanese web site(NOT legally),so someone ripped that

And where is this website? For all I know, the PV hasn't premiered yet and usually aren't until about a week before the single release... Unlike songs, I don't think videos leak out before their release...

I don't really knew where is the web site, i asked some people in JP, they didn't told me and said it is illegal . And your are right, MTV doesn't permiered the PV yet, i don't know how they got the video(maybe from some illegal source which i don't know )

Yeah, I have seen nothing to indicate that HEAVEN is getting radio play or that the PV has played anywhere.

My theory, untik there is other information, is that this clip was recorded from a TV promotion of SHINOBI.

This song just PROVED Kazuhito Kikuchi is Ayu's best composer.

and I really hope this is the final version... I'm totally sick of the old verse chorus verse chorus patterns of her old ballads.

A few pages back, I believe Phantasma or some member with a similar name ((forget who >.<)) made some negative points about the song... and I agree. I mean- it's nice... but for some reason it just doesn't feel right to me. I've been listening to it on repeat recently and it just hasn't clicked on me for some reason and I'm really trying to figure out why.

Now- I know some thing can be said for the quality of the rip, but at the same time, usually the rip helps me out by a lot. To me, oddly, I'm holding some grudge against it like I do with Voyage XD That song just never rubbed off on me and to this day I can only listen to it in the context of A BALLADS or else I can't stand it. So maybe this will be a song like that?


Ayu sings very nicely in this, however, I don't know if I can get into it. I'm much more looking forward to WILL. I like that style of ballad much better *shrug*

hrm...just heard it. the part that was shown in the preview on her website makes me almost want to cry! i LOVE that part. as a whole though, it seems almost like its too fast...it needs some breaks in there or something...more la la la's or something. i really like the song, but i'm not sure its living up to what i hoped. i think once i hear a high quality version i'll probably love it though.

I agree. I'm not that into "Moments", "CAROLS" or "walking proud" either. OR any ballad from "MY STORY". And I do prefer her older ballad. ("A Song for XX" ) But I also think that "HEAVEN" is definitely her best ballad since "RAINBOW". For me, it's even better than "M".

("Trust" is a ballad? I find it really up-beat!)

HEAVEN sounds great in my opinion! It's really nice, with a fusion of traditional music instruments and with excellent composition!

However, I really hope for a breakthrough music composition? Ayu's recent works do have some of them sounding a little bit too generic? Compositions like those for SEASONS, LOVE ~Destiny~, Key ~eternal tie ver.~, SURREAL, I am ... are truly rare and excellent compositions that would be HARD to recreate, yet they leave such an enormous impression!

HEAVEN does give me a little bit of such an impression, but yup, I don't know ... maybe it's just more CREA I'm yearning for? Haha, songs like evolution, M, those are also songs that lack the generic feel! But the recent works, I don't know!

Well, truly hope Ayu has better inspirations and so do her composers!

Overall, HEAVEN's a very good ballad! One of the best amongst her recent works! It won't match up to those released during the past, but it's considered excellent and extremely good out of all the recent ballads that have been released!
