-____- I was talking to my friend about this and they mentioned that the "sound effects" sound sort of like planets revolving around Ayu, so I was like "wow that's a creative idea for a PV"...
Little did I know >_> |

omg! This song made me cry... when I read masa and sean's lyrics! I listened to the song again...
The symbolism is so deep... I can't imagine losing my loved one, I don't see how she can sing this song without crying (not that she lost a loved one... but what this song will mean to her someday when she does)

I'm eager to hear the studio version of this song. It didn't amaze me, but didn't disappoint, either. I honestly think that I would enjoy it more if I could hear a higher-quality version of the song.

1:22 to 2:23 is brilliant; beautiful yet contrasting in sound (especially when the main instrument comes in.). I don't like any of the other verses or the chorus in this song; but this is far better then my negative review I gave the preview a couple of days ago.

I think HEAVEN is definitely one of the best songs Ayu has EVER done. ^_^ It's superb. I think it totally lives up to the rest of her ballads.

Well, i heard the full version( i think they said it was off of a radio channel) Anyway, This is definently a masterpiece. So beautiful. Sad yet has that little happy tune to it, which somehow makes it sadder, and the lyrics are so beautiful. I give it ATLEAST an "A" if not an "A++" It has a little "forgiveness" feel to it, but better! and i loved forgiveness!!!! |

I won't listen to it. I've turned into Mr.Goody-Goody-Won't-Download...
![]() Anyway, I'm waiting for the album. With 3 good preview songs (STEP you, is this LOVE? and alterna), I'm confident that the CD+DVD OS will be worth the money if there are a few decent album tracks... Last edited by BanFan; 1st September 2005 at 01:53 AM. |

Very nice song. Flows really nicely.
-The arrangement, I don't care if it was HAL or aything, it sounds excellent. It's kinda different which reminds me a bit of HANABI, which is one of her songs with the most unusual, yet impressive, arrangements. The first instrumental break before the la la la's with all those whispering sounds is excellent. -The song follows a different pattern from her latest songs, which kinda shuts up people who say she can't vary the structure of her songs anymore. It's cool that, like SURREAL, the chorus only comes at the latter half of the song. Plus the chorus is played twice in a row, making it unusual. -The chorus is really emotional. I wonder how it is to be in a theater watching the movie and then the song starts to play at full blast. It must give severe goosebumps. -Why are people complining that the song is short? 4:18 is not short, for me a short song are those ranging from 3 minutes to less. Who cares if it's not 6:00 minutes when it actually delivers the emotion and sounds really complete? Plus how can someone write a song to be a soundtrack for a movie not expecting it to be a hit? Has anyone even read the interviews by ayu and max maatsura at all? They showed a lot of expectations for this new song. It makes no sense to me to say they wrote it for a movie not expecting it to be a hit. There's a chance the song could not be a big hit but they obviously hope for it to be. Quote:

LOL, I didn't actually mean I like "My Heart Will Go On" (****, I was THE biggest hater of that song back when it came out). I think "HEAVEN" is just as generic. I just don't think 'HEAVEN' could be that song in terms of popularity. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe for Japanese people it will be that classic and timeless ballad or whatever... But I'm American, and I grew up hearing all these American love ballads.. the melody of 'HEAVEN' just does not stand out for me at all (maybe excluding the "la la la" part right before the chorus). Boring, stale, uncreative.
![]() I would love to hear the instruments more clearly, but the rip is so bad. There's still hope, I guess... |

I'd like to hear a clearer studio version for a better judgement, but currently this song is having no effect on me.
At the moment, this remind me of Voyage, easy listening but generic choruses. |
