I came home from Japan last week, actually (home sweet home, yaay!) and though I am certainly no expert on paparazzi in Japan it would seem that there would have to be a decent enough number of them, as Japan also has its share of gossip rags.

I'm no expert on this either, but I must say I would love to have some of the makeup she wears at concerts. She cries and sweats and the mascara doesn't run at all! 0_0 I would think that besides her eye makeup / lip gloss, she would wear foundation...when the camera zooms in on her face, her skin sometimes looks a little TOO perfect, yanno? But who knows, maybe she really does have flawless skin and I'm just cynical.

Well, as a famous artist she's probably got some of the best skin treatments ever [aka like lotions and stuff..]. And about the not-runny stuff.. perhaps she gets really REALLY expensive makeup or something? You know? Like 500 dollars bottles of stuff.. Can makeup really make your skin look perfect especially during a live video perfomance? :/

Maybe it's just me, but I think you can see the heavy layers of makeup she is wearing during the concerts. During AT2k5 she changes makeup between some of the songs aswell, together with changing outfit.

I don't think they can apply THAT much in the amount of time needed.. can they?

Ayu has like 3 minutes at the most to put on some elaborate costume and then also have makeup done / sweat wiped off / water supplied to her.. especially since transitions between songs shouldn't be too long [unless there's a dance break or band solo before it..] I'm not too sure though.. strange. xD If we want to see a difference, we could always just put her AT footage next to her live perf footage to see if there's a huge difference.. there probably is since its different circumstances but hey.. whatever. xD

There's atleast a few pauses, one that is cut away in the AT2k5 DVD, a few cutscenes and the pause before the encore, where she would have time to have new makeup applied I think. I have no clue if she does have that or not, though

All my theories is only based on guesses here, I will ask my sister some about makeup later I think

I bet the backstage area of Ayu's concerts is like the pit stop at Nascar races....with stylists and such swarming around and "tuning her up" in mere seconds. =]

Mascara is .. waterproof. There are some stuff, that if you go swimming in, it won't come off. I cried once with waterproof on my eyelashes and it didn't even come off

Ayumi sure has some fast make up applying people backstage waiting for her..

Exactly. They probably just apply all the main layers before the performances and they must be havily waterproof, so they don't come off or get ruined during the performances. Whenever there's time -- ie. costum change - they just correct it a bit so she can move on for another dozen of minutes.

Seriously, no offence for those who obssessed with Ayu but she clearly looks a bit older than before... Holy crap... Is it just me or she has really gotten older already??? Someone prove me wrong please...........
