I like the song very much, the ideal for the PV's not bad either ..but the way AYU walk n act her hands along w/z her "Hey Watch your step" attitude was really ...i dunno it's just so wrong...TOO FAKE
anyway, I love OLD China feeling in the PV!<3 The red Traditional outfit was perfect too! <3

please guys
at least ayu never repeated the same type of PV every year like kuu chan, since 'you', yume no uta, ai no uta, stay with me, all shows her with cellphone, crying etc. at least ayu gives sth fresh i agree its not so fascinating but how good can you do that? it's just a PV..do u guys just want ayu to stand on the stage singing the whole song while the other scenes shows her love scene for the whole PV? just like those boring taiwanese love songs. the artist singing and suddenly shows other model (themselves) acting in love story 'mini movie' EDIT : ACtually I love the PV the only awkward scene is after she changed in to red qibao they shouldnt show her in white costume again, why put her with bird cages??? The rest of the PV looks nice. The 1st scene is not overdone. I think the starting is like showing her going to the theater. then the next scene is the female dancers goin to change...then she realize she's late, therefore she rush thus walking faster, about her act, I dun see it so diva-ish. It's just something feminime. The last scene is quite sad. when midoring left her and she walked alone, maybe it means her dream never come true with midoring. or midoring just wanted some 'fun'. then when they show ayu walks alone i feel quite sad Last edited by se7entheaven; 26th November 2008 at 11:47 AM. |

^whoa ok...but if u neglect everything in this MV..i tihnk its excellent too..heh
and I THINK THIS MV DOES HAVE CORRELATION WITH THE LYRICS... this strong one-sided love between 2 people...and yea, ayuready brought out a nice point..that love transcends thru anything be it age, race, gender... actually, the more I watch it with the volume loud, i think I quite like it...esp thinking that...its VERY UNIQUE on its own really...just the PV and song itself... just forget about the PV if u truly love the song Quote:
anyone game to watch them THEN compare? hehehe and yea, about Kuu's love winter MVs...seriously...haiz...o well Last edited by freedreamer; 26th November 2008 at 11:38 AM. |

Firstly, the PV is really something new. It's so chinese-oriented that somehow it caught my attention and i like how 'chinese' it feels lol. 'Cos i never expected Ayu to produce something like this before. The whole 'chinese' feeling are quite good.
However .. there are a few scenes which i think are pretty awkward. 1) What are the dancers doing dancing outside the door all of a sudden??????? 2) The part where she changed to the Red Qipao was breathtaking.. and moments later it's back to the white dress again (?!?!?!?!)

Hey.... Am I the only one who thinks the beginning, alias walking-down-the-street might be in fact the ending? Like, in the end of the PV Midoring gets in the car and Ayu walks off wearing the same outfit as in the beginning of the PV, and in the walking-down-the-street part of the beginning she's looking for something which could mean she's looking for Midoring and where she left. And the whole theater-part until the "ending" car part is a flashback.

I agree with the rest that the PV had great potential but it was ruined. I found the part where Midoring dancing with Ayu particularly unacceptable. The plot does not quantify that part, and it looked awkward at best. I guess the director was kinda trying to allude to "The Butterfly Lovers" which is a chinese story about two women who fell in love, but sadly, I don't think it showed itself. The Ayu walking through the street was quite elaborate though I think. There was really a lot of people, and Ayu managed to shun them all, keeping focus on the camera. I thought that was good.
Very Mirrorcle World. Which I enjoyed a lot more though I must say. The director seems to like to do scenes but have little use for them in the eventual PV. Say for example the scene with Ayu in lingerie in Mirrorcle World. And for the GREEN PV, the part where Ayu poses with the bird cages (I mean it could be developed further) and the part when they're backstage. I mean those could really be put to better develop the plot, but didn't come off in the PV. I don't understand why the director could not do a shot from the audience up to the stage. It feels as though the audience is disjunct from the stage. Moreover, Shanghai clubs in the 1930s had elaborate designs. So I would have thought it would be better to showcase these in the PV as well. But no, he chose instead to do separate stage shots and audience shots (which had little elements in it), failing to fully bring out the elaborateness of that era. Stunning cinematics and angles (since he's a photographer), but a poorly developed appreciation for the difference between stills and moving motion. Still, nice, refreshing PV but I really hope Ayu ditches the director. I mean so much effort for certain scenes and they end up with like only a few seconds on the PV? C'mon. |

Mmn... it's pretty much like Mirrorcle World but not as bad. That's all I think about it
![]() The one scene that was way below average IMO, and that really frustrated me, was the one with the fans/white dress. I LOVED the fans, but they were ruined by the way everything seemed to clash especially that PURPLE light in the background. omg. WHY purple?I don't really mind if a PV is random and doesn't have a storyline, but if it's going to be pure eye-candy, you at least have to get the coloring right people complain about MW's coloring, but I thought that was fine. It did keep changing, but at least different colors were in different scenes. Plus beige/red/black/white isn't that bad to me.But white really weird diva-ish feather dress ayu + red fan dancers + purple backlight hurts my eyes ![]() The reason I enjoyed it better than MW anyway is because of her less embarassing facial expressions, and because scene changes happened more often so it was not quite as monotonous. It's a shame they didn't make it prettier though... sigh. |

i've watched the PV...
it's a beautiful PV.. but just... the way of Ayu walking at the beginning.. kinda think that her gestures are kinda too much.. don't u guys think so? feels so weird!!! and why on earth, Shuya and Gomi dance at the backstage? also... why Midoring becomes a man on the PV? why not Subaru or Shuya just like usual? hmmm weird.. and at the beginning, it feels like someone is being chased... someone can interpret about the PV?? |

Is it the same director, who made this two PV's? She really should chance the director. Bu Ayu looks good in it.. and I like the 40th-Thing. |

You shouldn't compare ayu's pv with those taiwanese pvs. You should compare her recent pvs with the old ones. Then you will understand why lots of us complain.

I think the song itself is really good and obviously fits the scene, I really like this 30s Shanghai setup. PV is overall visually beautiful, and I liked her hair and outfits, very classy~
But, as many have said here, the message could've been conveyed better. I mean, yeah, it's not subtle, it's very clear if you think it as "repressed feelings", but it still was... lacking something. I don't think it Ay's fault, I too think it's the director's mistake. The PV could've been constructed better, for example. It's too chopped, like "scene 1: walking", "scene 2: performing" and so on. It's just lacking something overall. So... the song is very beautiful but the PV could've been better. Oh well, maybe it's because of all the hype. It's not bad, people just expected more.

Great PV but as random as "Mirrorcle World" though. Those scenes with her posing and acting like a diva while walking on the streets made me dizzy. The fantasia city is amazing, I wish they used it more. Also, I really liked all that randomness of her singing with those dancers. When she turns that lady on red, omg, that is breathtaking. I also had the same feeling about the dancing with Midori, it caught me on.
Overall, I really liked the PV. There's too much randomness and everything, but at least, she did something decent. Much more than decent, indeed. And the dancing was hot, I must say. The fact of watching my favorite artist dancing with a woman without any prudishness made me feel good about it (where's the lesbian Ayu love?). As long as I love the song, I couldn't help but love the PV as well. |

i just watched the PV again..and at the beginning, it's not looked like someone is being chased, just someone who's walking normally..maybe, the end of the PV where Ayu is walking alone is connected with the beginning, where she just walks to her home after finished from work?? (it's so not making sense though) the interesting part is that Gomi & Shuya also Ayu & Midoring Dancing.. and all the dancers look tired in the end... hmmm wondering what's that all about.. i didnt like how Ayu was mouthing through most of the pv, i wanted to see more normal acting...
and the dance with midori looked sooo awkward, they should have practiced more, but they probably didnt have enough time. actually most of the parts were awkward, it was kinda funny Last edited by Qt Mashi; 26th November 2008 at 01:30 PM. |
