nowadays I enjoy ayu's offshot pics more than her studio ones. I also would like to see ayu work with other photographers. Clearly ayu x shimomura is not working out...seeing how koda x shimomura pics are so much better. I'm quite disappointed with ayu's visual work...hopefully she can step it up real soon.

It isn't "in" to bring Ayu down. Her career has been on a downward spiral since 2006 so these kinds of comments are expected...the cover is awful but she has had much worse pictures.

Some of you guys really need to get over yourself the comments in this thread have hardly been negative or malicious. It's nice breath of fresh air because there's nothing worse than a delusional fan praising everything qUeEN aYU does. and this goes for ANY artist not just Ayu.

^ Well...not really when there's people here who comment saying EVERYTHING is bad, every tiny thing. :S

^ on the flip side there is a lot more people here who say everything is good no matter what. Both of those kinds of people annoy me. and on AHS there is definitely more people who blindly praise her.

and saying Ayu's career has been on a downward spiral since 2006 is just my personal opinion. from my experiences though most people lost a huge interest in ayu/stopped following her completely cause of Secret and/or GUILTY.

IMO certain work from her in terms of quality went downhill. (photographs, cd covers, pvs, concert costumes)...but I still love and enjoy her music. Rule/Sparkle is my fav single from her this year and is also one of my all time fav singles from her.

oh wow THATS the cover?

I saw that picture in someone's sig, and assumed it was from one of the past magazine shoots...

So...yeah weird ass facial expression..but it looks okay. Though her eyes and nose just look so weird these days.

@truehappiness: It is not "in" to bring Ayu down.

Honestly, I really wish I had better things to say about her pictures. But I'm not going to lie out of my ass and say something looks good when it doesn't, regardless of how much I love her.

Most of the pictures coming out of her recently, don't flatter her at all.

This one...makes her look nice, but it still falls flat on making her look like her awesome self.

The dreamy, dazed look, doesn't flatter her, just as the fish-lips and deer-in-the-headlights looks don't either.

Hmm. I'm not entirely sure what I think about the cover. I think it's too yellow. lol. I would prefer at least a half-body shot, from the picture identity posted the outfit looked beautiful. And they photoshopped the hell out of her eyes. But in some ways, it is quite gorgeous too, the whole picture. lol I'm having conflicting thoughts.

Aww, I actually really like the cover.
In fact, I think her "fish lips" work in this photo.
Perhaps it's because she's very slightly smiling. =)

Eh, it's okay, I guess... I also think it would have been much better if she kept her mouth closed, lol. :\ I think what I don't like about Ayu's style lately is her makeup combined with the hair. Neither work well for her, and together it's just awkward. >_<'

she looks plastic for sure, her face looks kinda big and for some reason she looks like a drag (sorry)

But one thing I found out...it's so ayu-ish...I mean it's her style...so yeah ^^ I hope the pics inside are great^^

at least it is alot better than the previous one (2008) IMO.
maybe it is because i like golden and elegant style more than just colorful cuteness.

i like the cover. its a zillion times better than the sunrise/sunset covers

but like, really, is that ayu???? doesnt look like her...
