ok after 4 days straight of listening i think i have a grasp for most of the songs. right now if i ranked the songs i'd have to go(not counting interludes)...

01. until that Day...
02. JEWEL
03. momentum
04. BLUE BIRD
05. It was
06. Startin'
07. kiss o' kill
08. Beautiful Fighters
09. Secret
10. Born To Be...
11. 1 LOVE

i love all these songs really, 1 LOVE being my least favorite is probably really suprising but i just liked all the other songs better. overall this album probably gets a 8/10 from me at the moment, i wish there were maybe 2 more tracks on this album but its still really good.

Secret is definitely one of my favorite albums of all time, I seriously love every track on this album. What's weird is that (miss)understood came out in the start of the year and Secret came out at the end of November, no artist (besides Rihanna) releases another album so quickly and almost no other artist has created a better album than Secret.

what can I say? It caught me!
I've not been very fond on Ayu from the time she released Step you. I have not enjoyed her lives and Bold & Delicious was like a heart attack

so, this album has relaly surprised me, and I have just bought it a few minutes ago, ACTUALLY!!!

SO, the effect has been THE BEST ONE, don't you think so?

and the beginning of the CDL05-06 that i saw the other day also helped me (i want that concert, but with subs! )

lol, I love how you describe B&D as a heart attack! I do really like that song though and she was just so glamorous in the PV!

I just got my copy of the album (CD+DVD) but it didn't come with any poster! I am kind of disappointed, on the Yesasia site it said it comes with one. Did anyone else not get theirs?

I hope expressing your opinion rashly, harshly and openly is not considered as an action of anti-Ayumizm here, so, I'm...Startin`

overall, I think "Secret" new album is a parody for "m(u)" (God, forgive me)
actually, I found absolutely no differences in these two, it seems like Secret grew up from m(u) and continued it's story
nothing bad at frist glance, but according to the fact, that every single album of Ayumi had it's own atmosphere quite different from another (even m(u) is different from MY STORY) I didn't find it in Secret...

the PR of the new album made me excited and happi, good booklet made me worried more
[isn't Secret's booklet AWESOME?! in my favs list now )
I was waiting for a special miracle
but what should I say? heavy rock-pop beats are the favourites of Ayumi. okay, she found herself a new style nearly 3 years ago. not bad. sounded good in Memorial and MY STORY
just I found the music kinda repeatedly, annoying and boring. I even couldn't differ the songs

is Secret better than m(u)? worse? no, they are equal

the most bad thing I found was a lack of good ballads. actually, they always made me attracted to hamasaki ayumi, but there, in new album...where are those magic melodies?
nice harmony? light-easy-listening? tears?

and songs...

Not yet- seem to be the only ONE of "newbies" which I LOVE to bits yes, this babe!
it's so cool, CMJK rulezzzz. I always luved this guy
somehow, THIS reminds me of RAINBOW album! yes!
until that Day- oh, gosh, yes, that's the one that's the BEST of the album too! a strong thingy
Startin`- I do like this song it's upbeat and more pop-ish. I like it
1LOVE- usual song of Ayu nowadays. nothing special. don't like it. at all. too heavy. tooo boring
It was- the beggining is GREAT, the rest is awful...
LABYRINTH- another variation of Kaleidoscope from MY STORY. I like it. nice
JEWEL- it's my habit not to like piano-only ballads...except one for Dearest
momentum- is it just me, or I realli can hear fairyland? not my type, sorry
[I had HUGE hopes for the song cuz of title...how stupid ]
taskinst- the only ONE interlude from all Ayumiz stuff I absolutely dislike
Born To Be...- pop-ish...but boring
Beautiful Fighters- just dislike
BLUE BIRD- not my type
kiss o' kill- heavy...but AWESOME!!!! Rrrrr
Secret- a middle-class ballad...nothing, even comparing to Will or HEAVEN

plz ppl, don't be mad on me...I know...I'm so unfair...I don't like Ayuzz new stuff
yep, but don't be mad on me
I'm not trying to be offensive...
I just say what I think

this album is so much better than her last album, a big improvement, not only that, she didnt include a bunch of her singles into her album....like the last one...the only song that i didnt like from the album is beautiful fighters, it doesnt go well with the other songs, sounds to...."happy" since the other songs sounds kind of dark and "rockish"

YES
I JUST BOUGHT THE OS CD+DVD VERSION
i love it
my first ayu purchase
it's exactly like the JP version, there's seriously no thing that can differentiate between OS and JP
everything is the same quality, there's no chinese translation on the CD whatsoever
the only difference is that it has a translation slip
oh man and it's only 22.99 CANADIAN
made my day

I just noticed that Ayu didn't compose for this album.

I guess she was a bit rushed to do it. (mini album to full album)

Just finish digesting the whole album. Basically, i must say that this is really a very good work from ayu and a 'comeback' from (m)u. I would divide this album into 4 section: the rock, the ballad, the pop and the ending

The rock
Not yet- Great intro, set the mood of the album and its music direction
until that Day- reminds me of evolution, except that i like it more
Startin'- sandwiched between 2 awaresome track, how can it not sound good?
1LOVE- The upbeat tempo and the chorus really remind me of ourselves it is like a mix of STEP you and ourselves
It was- a popish song that conclude the rock section. the mood become more gentle to allow a better flow to JEWEL

The ballad
LABYRINTH- another variation of Kaleidoscope except better link the popish It was to JEWEL
JEWEL- beautiful and mesmerising as usual
momentum- reminds me of M. The arrangement could be made better like this: chorus-verse-bridge-chrous

The pop
taskinst- upbeat and nice, but i don't like it
Born To Be...- quite well place in this album, but would really sound better without BF
Beautiful Fighters- don't like this song, it doesn't flow at all
BLUE BIRD- an upbeat and happy summer song, my favourite single track!!!

The ending
kiss o' kill- ayu is really daring to place a rock song right after a series of pop and a ballad after it but it work out really well. The flow of the album is not disrupted and this song is in fact one of the best in this album
Secret- a sweet but sad ballad to conclude, reminds me of Moment

Ranking of ayu's album:
1) Secret
2) MY STORY
3) Duty
4) Memorial Address
5) I am...
6) (miss)understood
7) RAINBOW
8) LOVEppears
9) A Song for XX

After listening to the album a few times, I have to say that I like the album much more now. Very solid. Rated it 8/10 before, now - 9/10. It's not Duty but better than most of her other albums, right behind My Story for third fav.

I love this album! I think almost everyone of the "new" songs are freaking awesome!

Like kiss o' kill, momentum, Not yet, until that Day...

This is better than (m)u, no doubt. Hard to say anything else, I have to keep listening

for me, this album has more rock influence than the others
love most of the songs, but hate ayu's vocal quality
just look how she sung JEWEL at 26th nov's best artist award...
ohh that horrible voice vibrating from RAINBOW era is back again...

so far, my fave ranking from ayu's album :

1. LOVEppears
2. I am...
3. Duty
4. My story
5. Secret
6. (miss)understood
7. Memorial address
8. RAINBOW
9. A Song for XX

Hmm....I just finished listening to Secret and I liked what I heard. Momentum, Kiss o' Kill, and Jewel are all such a beautiful songs. I am definitely going to add them to my ipod. 1Love and Beautiful Fighters were my least fave tracks. Overall, Secret is my third fave album of this year behind, Justin Timberlake's Futuersex/LoveSound and Utada Hikaru's Ultra Blue.

I'm pretty sure this album will become 'the next Duty' in the coming ten years. It's most likely to be another masterpiece, though it's a bit sad to find out how it's selling...(sigh)...
