We all know she can do better. Those high notes must be freaking hard to hit...then again...it was early in the morning...so I give her a break...

Still not as bad as it could have been though. =) I think they should've sound checked her first before they started...'cause the sound went way off in like a minute in...'cause she started out good until she ran out of breath...

But seriously though. It didn't even sound like her singing voice. It sounded like she had a stuffy nose or something. It was as if she was TALKING the song. Something was up. If she was all together, she could have sung those high notes because they aren't that high and they aren't held out long enough to cause a problem. And the fact that they end in an "EEE" sound makes them all the more easier to get out. You can almost just yell them if you want. She just wasn't on her "A" game. It's a pretty low key song.

EDIT: This is the Pop section of course....just to be clear! Not the overall album ranking. Utada is #24 overall on U.S iTunes. She's 48 @ Amazon I believe.

I was at Target today and I looked at this up-and-coming artists section... and there was a space that said "UTADA - THIS IS THE ONE - 9.99". But it was empty. Isn't this thing not coming out until May? I wonder why they already have a space ready for it

Wow.

So something weird just happened. I'm on the American iTunes Pop Page looking at Album Rankings and Utada is at #4. Suddenly the page breaks. Like all the images go out and these pictures of broken links takes their places all over the page. The words are still there though. And I look back at the Album Rankings and Utada jumped up to #2!!!!!

So I exit out of iTunes because the page still looks all wonky and I want to double check to see that it's not a glitch or mistake so I exit out and re-open iTunes and the page is fine and I look at the Album Rankings..................and Utada is STILL #2!!!! Above Kelly Clarkson! Behind Lady GaGa!


Anyway, it was weird and exciting and ummmmmmmmmmm that's all I'm saying on this one folks.

EDIT: I see you beat me. I would have been had this message up a long while ago but it took so long to exit out and bring back up my iTunes. Oh well. My story is still more exciting.

and i laugh whenever i see that boa is on the same page for some reason.

about the live: shes said before that she has trouble switching from 'talking mode' to 'singing mode'. and i thought it felt pretty clear that she was still in 'talking mode' when she started, and she knew it, so that threw her off.
and the adlibbed bit...was just.....yeah....
