^Oops, actually it was the Future Classics one I was referring to. XD
I forgot that's the most recent so yeah that's the one I wasn't too fond of. Lol.

EDIT: I just searched youtube and found momentum. I wish I would have given this concert a chance now, I think I deleted the ISO! I'll have to look but it sounds nice! I think what turned me off at first was that I am not a fan of her hair during this period. Lol.

Really? I thought her vocals had improved so much, they weren't perfect but still much better than they have been. The TV version was bad but the DVD was really good.

The Future Classics version of momentum imo is a lot better than the one she did during AT07, that's for sure, haha.

Of course the vocals on DVD are better, they artificially improve her voice by removing the false notes and such... That's not exactly a good way to judge the current condition of her vocals.

There's only so much you can do though, especially with things like breathlessness. The fact is her voice sounded better than the last couple of DVD's and they would have done the exact same things in post production.

They sound fairly good in the a-nation fancams as well, with a few bad bits here and there.

Removing false notes? What?

Actually, her voice was pretty much the same as in the TV version except we could hear it a lot better.

I agree with truehappiness.. They always change the microphone and audio settings, but rarely her actual voice.. the last CDL has had AWESOME audiosettings; but if you listen to her voice; it IS actually good and there aren't actual false notes

I'm just so happy and proud of her for improving. I even sent a message to her in TA about how proud I am of her lol.

^ That's really sweet of you . She really does seem to be trying hard on improving her vocal condition.

Um, no. It's obvious how they changed Ayu's voice from butchering Pride and Because of You to something decent. I don't know how to say this in a less rude way, so sorry in advance, but if you don't hear that you're either tonedeaf or 'blinded' by Ayu fandom. Very tonedeaf. "It's-almost-unbelievable-you-can't-hear-the-major-difference" tonedeaf. Hearing a voice more clear doesn't magically make off-key parts better lol.

That's a fair comparison, true.

They ARE removing false notes, when she goes off key etc...
In fact they change them so as to be closer to the correct note.
You can even hear her singing like a goddess when she is crying (for example untitled for her at CDL 2007-2008) on the DVD version while she is going off key several times in TV version.

They can do that with editing and they are doing so.

The DVD ver. of Future Classics vocal's were barely edited, the only difference is that, as I've already said, you can hear Ayu sing as the music isn't as loud. Sure there are slight differences in momentum, Because of you and Pride, but nothing really worth mentioning, she can barely sing Pride well for my standards anyways ^^ The DVDs always get edited to a certain extent. Some more some less and yes the last CDL does sound less edited compared to the previous two.

I would suggest you drop the 'blinded' by Ayu fandom thing as it will get you nowhere on AHS. Insulting others won't work in your advantage either.

I believe that Because of You's vocals were actually taken from the performance from the day before 31st's CDL, or even the actual performance was edited in... When she performed on 30th, the people who went to see it said that Because of You's vocals were really good, and if you listen to the DVD version, it's obviously not even the same vocal track as the TV version... There is only so much you can do to edit a live vocal, and there was nothing they could do to TV version vocals to make it sound the way it does in DVD version.

I think this can be similar to the performances of the concert of 2000,when Ayu was playing too with coffins & the "death idea" around all that atmosphere...

just watched the fancams, OMG! Microphone, ASFXX, greatful days and BLUE BIRD were so amazing Loved loved loved it. Can't wait to have HQ videos. Microphone performance had this cool, strong touch to it, and the end was WOW!

A Song for XX (like I've mentioned before) seems to be such a testament to her improving voice.. every year it just gets stronger, it's the one song from way back I really believe she will always excel in!
