For some reason in my mind, this performance was always her "defining" TV live -- like, it was the moment she became a star. There's something about her performance, her composure that was shift from how she performed prior to this.

YES! When she did the solo version! I haven't seen that version in YEARS -- it's always the Ayu+Gackt version that pops up (which I also love).

That live orchestra version of Dearest is definitely one of my favourite performances. I don't like overdone vibrato but when she does it on the niii at the end of the repeat of the first chorus- wow yeah!

Love threads like this. The first ones that come to mind are these:

Far away (MUSIC STATION) - I just remember really enjoying the way she sang it when I first watched it.

Voyage at that Best Artist event because she forgets her lyrics and is very cute about it.

HANABI ~episode II~ at HEY! HEY! HEY! just because we never get performances of this song.

HANABI ~episode II~ at ayuready? #46, because it's an acoustic version and it sounds amazing. A studio version should have been on a single or ayu-mi-x release.

STEP you at MUSIC FIGHTER. I remember loving all the STEP you promotion that was going on at the time!

fairyland at HEY! HEY! HEY! - same reason as above!

Sunrise ~LOVE is ALL~ at MUSIC JAPAN because it's so energetic and cute!

BLUE BIRD + evolution at FNS because I remember being IN Japan at the time and was just getting back to my hotel. Turned the TV on and there she was! I turned it on just in time. So awesome!

The SONGS performances from earlier this year. I miss seeing her on TV. She sounded really amazing during this.
