as much as I like her,her subject matter and sound is a bit repetitive

I hope her next album she experiments more with happier sounds, lmao

i love her album!
it's so good. my faves are Born To Die (i was obsessed with the video), Video Games, Blue Jeans, National Anthem, Dark Paradise, & Summertime Sadness.

her whole supposed controversy about her image doesn't really bother me. like...i honestly don't care if she pissed off people with having this ~indie~ image to her despite being on a major label. that's not important to me, tbh. i just hope she improves on her live performances, lmao.

Really like Lana Del Rey! I heard her when her first EP "Kill Kill" came out when she was still Lizzy Grant. I also have her original album which is good, but maybe not on the level as "Born To Die" I really love "Pawn Shop Blues" from her "Lana Del Ray" album. I think she's also had quite a bit of plastic surgery since her debut. Her now is now pointed upwards a little bit and it wasn't before. She's definitely an interesting character!

I love her voice, I like her face...

I have some issues with her presentation and lyrics, they seem a little contrived...which isn't what I want when I listen to this kind of music...and I don't really care for the feel of the album either.

Way to appeal to emo teens and college kids~~

but meh. I like the sound enough to listen to the album.

Her lyrics are quite juvenile. I like her voice and the composition of her songs.

what is she the ghetto frank sinatra?
I like her voice but I wont compare her to sinatra hell to the no.
she doesn't come to his level.

she got bad reviews in her performance in snl but I don't think she did bad at all.
I have to buy her cd.

that live was very awkward and plain bad... but if you look up some of the other lives are quiet nice she's just nervous or something

Watching her live on David Letterman.

I find her nonchalant way of singing interesting, but I also feel like it makes the song weaker. There were so many moments where I wanted her to push out the power and have her voice soar, the song would have been so emotional and gorgeous, I would have died.

But I find her 'I just had a lobotomy' style kinda flat. I guess its a part of her image, it kinda reminds me of Namies dancing, except its not fierce, its dreary, and I guess its sad. Guess it fits the feel of the album.

Id rather her just...be herself? If thats her real personality, maybe she needs to lay off the drugs or something...

idk I havent decided if I like her or not yet. I also find her plastic surgery kinda distracting. Her nose looks crazy.

It would do her DAMN WELL to learn how to play the piano too, especially when shes performing. A whole nother group of people she could appeal to.

k, listened to the album.

I like, born to die, dark paradise, off to the races...theres another but I forgot. I think Summer Sadness.

So, all my initial thoughts were confirmed. Props to the composers and arrangers and her managers for engineering this sound.

No props for nearly all the songs being way too similar. I was dying for it to end. I still like her voice and sound, but im sorry, I cant stand [i]her[\i]. Shes just, not genuine, idk, thats just my feelings. For me, it makes the music so flat and lifeless...which is just enhanced by her style of vocals. I dont care for her lyrics either.

idk I have hope...but meh. I'll probably be staying away.

Oh, I will say, shes great when youre...head is full of...euphoria lol but I was coming down halfway through her songs, and it just got dull.
