they think TK works r boring
n they dont really like ayu's new album..
n they dont buy it..
may be it's one of reasons LS doesnt sell well

I dont hear boring music though...
but Japanese are probably more into groups as well...the whole asia is...
Im still proud of what Ayu has achieved.
Back in 2005-2006, there were articles in Singapore magazine about who is to be the next Hamasaki Ayumi..and gee, they were hot then, but now...

This is one of her strongest and musically cohesive albums in a while. Glad to see it grabbed number 1.

I think this album is very cohesive too. But it almost reminds me of MY STORY, where the general tone seems to be more mellow (until NL, Secret, Guilty and RnRc). I think the sales will have a bit of longevity (or hope).

One of my friends in Hong Kong, who is 19 says that Ayumi Hamasaki is getting a bit too old for the general population (in hong kong). He just says so many new idol groups are taking over the charts and Ayumi has already had her golden days!

The album is selling the way it is expected to sell. And considering that Love song is still in top 10 after 4 weeks and doing better than Microphone I would say the Japanese public does not share the same opinion as your friend. There are 130 000 000 people in Japan, some ought to think the way your friend does.

My japanese friend said the same too. Although they have respect for TK. Also think ayu is overexposed artist and should take a break for a while.

Seems there's NO real competition on the album or weekly sales, so we might still see Ayu and ikimono-gakari on top of the charts for a while until some artist makes a BIG move, especially when most artists are NOT really releasing major releases early in January...
