Oh wow, can't wait for the Chinese version! It'll be interesting to hear her speak Chinese.(^-^) Is Ayu semi fluent in Chinese...?

Ayu does not know Chinese. She knows like xie xie and stuff, but most people who have gone to China / listened to Chinese people talk would know that..
She seems like she might've rewritten the lyrics in Chinese (the rest of them?) on her own... at least according to what she said here, and all of the "speaking" she does is based on phonetic memorization or w/e. She basically learns the sounds in Japanese / katakana and then regurgitates them while singing, and it sounds like Chinese.. At least that's what I gathered from watching the AT07 making with her reading the sheet with the Chinese lyrics in katakana..

so ayu reads pinyin? or something
so the lyrics..is japanese sounding like chinese? so the lyrics in chinese would make absolutely no sense? @_@

^ Of course it makes sense!..lol =x
Like TH said ayu used katakana to facilitate herself in learning the prounciation of the chinese words, since she couldn't understand chinese words. Last edited by Jwiz; 11th September 2008 at 03:35 AM. |

She had a sheet with the Chinese words in "Japanese sounds" so like..
"Wo ai ni" would be "をあいに". It makes sense to people listening but not so much for Ayu since she uh, doesn't know Chinese.

Someone else...maybe chom-can? who had helped her with both foreign and japan version.
Because when it comes to chinese lyrics, someone has to write them, then pass to ayu and teach her how to pronounce each and every word. After that ayu will use katakana to help herself pronouce the chinese words. And probably the chinese version will be a translation of the orignal version and SO it shares the same meaning with original version, i think =) Last edited by Jwiz; 11th September 2008 at 03:41 AM. |

It should be.
The Hong Kong version is simultaneously being released so... maybe? (And the Taiwan / China versions tend to come at the most a few days after..)

Did that make sense? I don't know. I can't think straight; my head is still reeling from the rush of information that came about BoA's US debut today. |
