I had to see the covers coz i was worried about it!!I thought they were horrible and then...just saw them and *O* They're so different...I really like them!!!The CD+2DVD is a bit hot but not bad!!The CD+DVD and CD only are perfect!!!
And they have a meaning,that's even better!

Poor guy, there were not only bad comments about Ayu on ahs, but also some very mean about Timmy. It's one thing to say you don't like the work of someone, but to be so rude and mean is a no go, even in the internet. You never know if the person you're talking about will come across this. I hope he doesn't take it to heart, 'cos I'm sure I would and it would really upset me.

People don't have to laud praise on everything Ayu does to be a fan...it's like people saying A-listers on meth were "awesome" and great role-models...or parents who don't teach kids not to steal, cheat or lie because they'd hurt the kids feelings if they made them feel bad.

People can like and love something while also seeing what they think are flaws. They aren't less of a fan for doing so. Quite frankly, I think Timmy's "drunk" tweet about the covers was totally uncalled for. He's a composer, not her media adviser of promotional coordinator and being rude to people saying they didn't get the tabloid parody was way, way out of line.

I asked in the PQ cover release thread, the last discussion thread and here as well - nobody can tell me why I'm less of a fan because I don't laud praise on everything 100% of the time. I think I've been pretty supportive of Ayu in the past. Even when I hate this cover I still want her to do well and feel better. I'm less of a fan because..................????

Yeah, and I honestly don't think Timmy's tweet was uncalled for. It was the "trashy" comments that probably set him off. Timmy worked closely on this album, he has a right to defend it imo. Unprofessional perhaps, but I can absolutely understand his frustration.

Calling her trashy or pornstar or just the numerous other things that people have come up with is uncalled for.
There is a difference between someone giving an opinion and someone just being a ***.

... Eh. Okay, maybe I am totally missing a certain point here or I am dumb.

For example: I did not like the covers. Must say that it's okay now and I start to tolerate them. Personally I thought the covers were a bit cheap, very different and I guess they shocked me for the first time. But I guess that people did call ayu ****ty or trashy, because she did look like 'that' in the covers in their opinion. What I actually try to say: they are commenting on Ayus work. Not on Ayu herself! Is that a bad thing?

This is ayumi's work and hence is a part of her. Like I said before there is a difference between giving an opinion and throwing around names because you dont like something.
That's not an opinion it is gross and childish.

When somebody calls a cover "****ty" or "trashy" it will ALWAYS be an attack on the person portayed at the same time, even when not intended as such. It's just strong, personal words, they are usually applied to a person, not a piece of art. I can see how people can only mean the covers themselves, not Ayumi as person, but it's always taken as that because of the choice of words.

In my opinion I don't really care if people called ayu trashy or said that she looks like a ****. Everyone has their right on expressing theirselves, and if that's the way that they want to do it, so be it... It's extreme to say that ayu's trashy or a **** but it's not when people say it because of her work (what she portrays, not who she is)..

Like; tolerable: 'omfg sl*tty pose ayu! / that's a trashy photoshoot' and intolerable: 'ayu ur a sl*ut / omg hooker'. But thats my opinion.

Hmm. In uni they learn us to create a distance between the artist and his/her work. Also, the opinions on the Party Queen covers, even when they are hurting/childish/attacking/stupid etc. are just on the covers themselves. Yeah, Ayu is the star on them, but I have only seen comments of fans here who say that she LOOKS like that. Not that Ayu is trashy/****ty etc. And here we are with our 'distance' between artist and his/her work. At least, I do see that distance.

On the other hand; i guess there is a right point there isthisLOL and teamayu are reffering too. For example: when we see a girl or so at facebook in a ... tricky pose(?) it invites us to judge that girl immediately. I guess... you see that judgement also happen with Ayu and her Party Queen covers right now, isn't that true? The only difference is: even it is not really tolerable to call a girl a **** or so because of her photo: Ayumi is an artist. And when have admired Ayu for a long time, I guess they are only commenting that nasty because of the covers. It certainly does not have to mean they think Ayu is personally a ****/trashy ***** etc. Because... they know she is not.

I didn't see any so far which hadn't that effect, especially japanese ones with exotic colours.

Problem is, that uber-big circle lenses seem to be still a big trend in Asia, and it often let the girl/guy who's wearing them, look like an alien.

Big, all-black circle lenses do even make some people look high, as if they had some weed (no joke, I mean it!).

I'm not going to try and find a deep meaning into them because I don't see it.

nope that's not bad. but there were people here not just commenting on ayu's work and insulting her personally saying she threw her dignity away and such and that she's not the same person anymore and they can't respect her anymore, etc.

The only thing I'm concerned about really are people who cannot import the album because customs might think it's something that it isn't.

It's interesting to see people backtracking on how they feel about the album.
