meh....the album is great, and it's so purely koda...

but honestly, there are lots of people who only like certain aspects of koda...and if he isn't say, a ballad or pop koda fan...I wouldn't think he had any use for the cover album either :/

but I still think everyone should give it a listen. I think it shows off a lot of what she's capable of.

you really should download it. it's 100x better than her last couple albums. it restored my faith in her, I was starting to really dislike her until this cover album came out.

I like it and all, but I don't think anything on it comes even close to the glorious UNIVERSE, Stay, No Way, Physical Thing, ecstacy, TABOO, Driving, Last Angel, BUT, Aishou, MORE etc. etc. etc.

by last couple of albums I mean UNIVERSE and TRICK. Kingdom is awesomeness.

It's just a matter of taste like with everything else.
UNIVERSE is my favourite Kuu album, it's awesome!
The cover album is really good as well, but I guess it only appeal to people who like older J-Pop and classics in general.

it appeals to me though, and I hate older J-pop and classics lol. I even listened to the original songs on the album and thought they were really bad. Kuu's versions are so different to the originals. imo they sound like they could be her original songs.

^Negai??? That would of been interesting to hear! lol BAD COMMUNICATION, BLOWIN', Taiyou no Komachi Angel, or Liar! Liar! would of been better!

Another thing that would of made the cover album better... Her covering Namie, Utada, and Ayu!

You're the exception then.

Kuu did a really good job, all the songs have her own touch, I agree, and the vocals are awesome as well (especially misono's song, I get goosebumps every time I listen to it).
But they are just covers of older songs and that's probably enough for some people to be uninterested.
