JPop: You should definitely check out Onitsuka Chihiro. She is a wonderful and great artist. She writes her own lyrics (which are always very deep!) and her own music. Her voice is very powerful too!
My favourite song from her is "Infection"!

Other JPop-recommendations: alan, Kalafina, Shiina Ringo, ayaka, Sakamoto Maaya and Arashi (these are my favourites; of course it always depends on which kind of music genre you like, but I really love all of these singers and groups!).

KPop: Well, DBSK (TVXQ/Tohoshinki) is my favourite KPop-group (but they also sing a lot of songs in Japanese, so I guess you can also put them in the JPop-section). My favourite songs: "Love in the Ice" (gorgeous song with gorgeous vocals!), "Mirotic", "Winter Rose" and "Duet" (all of their ballads are actually very beautiful; they're like the Kings of ballads! ).

Ah yes, DBSK had five members once, but three of them filed a lawsuit and left the group, so now only two are left anymore (but these two are doing AWESOME!!). The other three members formed a group called JYJ. You can check them out too (I recommend "In Heaven", "Get out" and "Pierrot"!)

Other KPop-recommendations: Sunny Hill (especially their song "Pray"!), Super Junior (I only know some of their songs, but they're pretty good), U-Kiss.

Jup, that's it! If you have questions, feel free to ask!

I've been recommending:
AILI
MAA
Mademoiselle Yulia

and then I always recommend Eiko Shimamiya's O album, MAI's MAISELF, and anything BENI lol cause her voice is gorgeous.

oh and Clazziquai Project for "kpop" lol

shamelessselfpromoting: If you want a quick listen for some of my fav songs from some of these, you can come to my youtube channel https://www.youtube.com/user/sabrinalorenQ

JRock

- BREAKERZ (oh you know I definitely will recommend them 1st & foremost as they're my most fave artiste to promote/support 8D Shame I'm the only 1 that's fiercely dedicated to them , people really don't know what they're missing out on , seriously )

- Acid Black Cherry (chances are if you're in BREAKERZ's fandom , you bound to be in ABC's fandom as well xD)

- SPYAIR (Rockin' the World is amazing , my fave debut album that I came across last year & their sound's so fresh/unique)

- abingdon boys school
- NEVER LAND
- DAIGO☆STARDUST
- Fukuyama Masaharu
- GLAY
- Himuro Kyosuke
- Kuriyama Chiaki
- Saito Kazuyoshi
- school food punishment
- SID

- flumpool (their older works are still the best . I have not been impressed with their material after they released What's flumpool sadly)

- Aqua Timez
- L'Arc~en~Ciel

- Suga Shikao (he's 1 of the most unique if not awesome/talented artistes out there & his sound's just so different)

- Kobukuro (ok not really rock but they're more towards folk but still they're great xD)

- Anna Tsuchiya
- OLIVIA

JPop

- JASMINE
- Koda Kumi
- alan
- girl next door

- Kanon Wakeshima / kanon x kanon (I really don't know where to slot her in since her sound's so different until I wasn't sure :x)

- Matsushita Yuya
- Shota Shimizu
- Mika Nakashima
- Kuroki Meisa
- Hilcrhyme
- ON/OFF
- ayaka
- Aoyama Thelma
- BENI
- Ken Hirai

That should be about it . Since you didn't specify if you listen to girl groups or boybands , I wouldn't list them but if you do , sure xD

You really have to try IU, she is phenomenal

Other recs:
- My boys SHINee, if you're into R&B songs
- Brown Eyed Girls since you like Miryo's solo stuff .. Members Narsha and Ga In's solo albums are also great
- Sunny Hill! Their last two mini albums are awesome, they're a bit like IU and BEG
- T-ara has really addictive electropop tracks
- B1A4 had the strongest 2011 debut for a Kpop boyband imo, and their leader composes some of the songs too!

Please try T-ara. Judging from all the k-pop girl groups you already have, you'd probably enjoy them. I recommend their first album repackage, Breaking Heart.

And, of course, if you haven't tried MAA yet, you have to! She is AMAZING.

Aside from the mainstream Kpop, their non mainstream releases are great too
Glad you downloaded Clazzi, he's good

I'll recommend these ones
Dear cloud - It's for you

LOVEHOLIC - Flowerpot

Taru - Let's end it here

Casker - Your song

After School - Shampoo

Sunny Hill - Midnight Circus

After School's songs like BANG! and Because of You are great imo
Alex from Clazziquai Project solo is another gem
SunnyHill's Grasshopper Song is 'quirky' lol
Urban Zakapa for acoustic songs, they're good at this
INFINITE for some dancy music, still great though
Nell for some indie rock

I would try Utada Hikaru, try downloading her latest best album Single Collection 2
Also ikimono gakari, their new album NEWTRAL or their best album. They are a jpop-rock band , and their music is so happy and energic
And Kana Nishino, who has a great voice and makes amazing R&B/Jpop music. Try her album "to LOVE" first

I'm going to second everybody who said Koda Kumi. She is amazing. If you haven't heard them already, I would suggest Pop Diva, show girl, TABOO, Hot Stuff, JUICY and everything on her JAPONESQUE album.

I would also recommend KAT-TUN. They have been my favourite group since 2008. Maybe they won't be your style, but they've a large discography (nowhere near as massive as Ayu's though!) but I would definitely recommend checking out some of their latest songs (2010~2011): CHANGE UR WORLD, MAKE-OR-BREAK, ULTIMATE WHEELS, PERFECT, Yuki no Hana, RUN FOR YOU, COSMIC CHILD, STAR RIDER and LOCK ON. Their older songs are good, too, but I find every release more addictive than the last - although my overall favourite song by them is Yorokobi no Uta.
