Sad song reccomendations? (Non-JPop)

I was wondering if anyone could reccomend any sad songs? I need a bit of inspiration for a series of screenplays I've started to write. Buffy the vampire slayer-esque. I just need a wide variety of sad songs for the more upsetting and depressing moments that you'd have in a show like this. So if anyone could help me it'd be greatly appreciated!

Thursday - Understanding in a car crash, How long is the night (a lot of their songs, really)
The Flaming Lips - All we have is now (brilliant song, make sure you get it, I can send it to you if you'd like that)
Alamo Race Track - Short leave (Dutch band, contact me to get it)
Novastar - When the lights go down on the broken hearted

That's all I can think of right now, although there's definitely lots more. Anyway, I can try to upload a bunch, or send them to you over MSN or something.

Oh hell. I'm not good at this, but:

Olivia - Cupid or Crystalline or Alone In Our Castle or Space Halo

For the record, for those who don't know.. Olivia is half-American/half-Japanese, so a lot of her songs are sung in English (including the four I listed).

I haven't really watched Buffy before, but I can try to help a little:

1. Whitney Houston - "I Learned From The Best" (It's about a person who now knows how to break people's hearts because her former lover broke hers, then she does the same thing to him.)

2. Toni Braxton - "How Could An Angel Break My Heart" (Beautiful song with strings and Kenny G.)

3. Christina Aguilera - "Walk Away"

4. Evanescence - "My Immortal (Band Version)"

5. Pink (with Steven Tyler) - "Misery"

The two Thursday songs, the Flaming Lips one, and all of Chibinina4's list (Cept for My Immortal because I have that already) and they were all fantastic, really helped alot with certain scenes I'm writing.

Maybe not all sad, but good meanings and slow and quiet with some sad lyrics. These are songs I fall asleep to >< Not exactly sure what you're looking for as in what kind of sad >< I dunno here is my sleepy playlist

Switchfoot: Only Hope, On Fire, This is Your Life, I Dare you to Move, We Were Meant to Live, Let That Be Enough.... (Oh heck, the whole "Beautiful Letdown" album has sad stuff on it except like 4 songs >< ehehhe)

Monica: What My Heart Says & Breaks My Heart
Hoobastank: The Reason
Staind: It's Been Awhile

That's about it for English ones I recommend.
