Those girls can sing omg at first i was turned off by their song lolita strawberry all i thought about was pedophilia all the way then i heard the song it's good. I love those girls they are awesome please someone tell me more about them i want to know all. I am addicted their music must have those hidden messages that hypnotize you i mean morning musume was scary i fear them. But these girls omg they remind me of Speed i lvoe them so much!!!

they're under AVEX and they have recently stopped their Lolita image because they weren't selling. Their mini-album bombed, so they turned into wholesome girls haha. I'll go through my CDs to see if I still have any of their old songs so I can upload them. They are very talented at singing, but the songs are led by only 2 out of the 5 singers, so those are the ones you're hearing mostly in each song.

i think they are the best girl group Avex has created after Folder5 and dream (my 2 all-time fav j-pop girl groups...lol

)... i wish SweetS could be more popular and with higher sales... they really know how to sing and their dance moves and looks are great...

Formed since 4th April 2003, SweetS, was quite a shock to the Japanese Industry when they first debuted on 27th August 2003 because they were just too young. There was also problems with fashioning their image because well, they just hit teenagehood! And actually, in some of their music videos, they act like WAY beyond their age, which is a bit hard to swallow for the general public.

SweetS also normally name their songs with association with foods like "strawberry" (LolitA☆Strawberry in summer), "candy floss" (Love like candy floss), "lemon" (Tear "Lemon" Drop), "raspberry" (Love★Raspberry Juice) and "cherry" (Lonesome Cherry). Of course, those were songs recorded in their first mini album "SweetS". But yar, their new single "Sky" is of course a refreshing change.

SweetS also has something in common with Ayumi, which is that their songs, as of now, are mostly composed by BOUNCEBACK (which are also the ones responsible for Ayu's "ourselves", "Greatful Days", "Because of You" and "GAME").

SweetS consists of Aki, who is the Leader, Aya, Haruna, Miori and Mai. They were selected as a result of Avex's Audition 2003. Past winners were Folder 5 and Dream.

i heard that BOUNCEBACK is no more producing the girls, so they now are with a different song composer since "grow into shinin' stars", and that's why their sound has changed now... they were more like pop+r&b and some pop very much "a-la-dream" like... and now they're not very impressive as much as how they were with LolitA or Love like candy floss... anyways, i love grow into shinin stars, but i dunno how the fans reacted about Sky... i think it's a very average song... well, its just "ok"... because it's obvious they can do much better... =/

Aya's voice is really nice, alot better than girl pop idols who are of age, or H!P counterparts.

'grow into shinin' stars' was damn catchy. I didn't like 'Sky' though...

I really like their old style better than their new style

in my opinion, Tear "Lemon" Drop is their best song... composed by BOUNCEBACK of course heh. Their song "Love Like Candy Floss" could have passed for an Ayu song musically ^.^* I wasn't too impressed with Sky, but the b-side to it was actually quite good. Also, the two lead *singers* are Aya and Haruna, even if Aki leads the group (I guess it's b/c of seniority).

I think Morning Musume is alot scarier than SweetS... but probably one of the scariest is Bishoujo Club 21 or whatever their name is. SO MANY GIRLS. I saw a clip of them performing live on some really bad small stage, and the stage was like thumping and being pounded by the weight of all those girls. I thought it would break all apart x.x

Morning Musume is alot scarier, hands down. Berry Koubouz (sp?) is scary too...they're like 9 year olds.

I heard they cut down Bishoujo 21 though...I think.

There are technically 31 girls in the group of Bishoujo Club (which is the technical new name for the group, but all together its Bishoujo Club 31) but they use about 10 in each single now...and shush about MoMusu, at the way things are going with graduations and older limits on auditions, it'll be smaller and older in a bit. And Berryz is actually really good just going on music, but yeah....seeing the H!P old fanboys cheer for them at a concert is disturbing.

I've been meaning to listen to SweetS, I heard Sky but it didn't catch me, but I've heard that isn't exactly top material for them. Any recommendations? Other than songs that have been mentioned obviously ^^;;

Sky is...bad.

They don't have many songs, just a mini-album and 2 singles after that. So everything's been mentioned, but I liked 'grow into shinin' stars'.

I just realised MoMusu fanboys are called Morning Musuko.

Learnt that from Gackt in that dating with Kago Ai clip.

As far as talent goes, I liked their voices in Sky and that usually determines a keep or kick of an artist with me. Hopefully something new will come from them soon I can hear more as I'm like...o_o Where to find-ness of them.

'Lonesome Cherry,' 'Love Like Candy Floss' and 'Tear "Lemon" Drop' are my very favorite SweetS songs. I think the non-single tracks on 'SWEETS' were better than their actual singles (well, except 'Love Like Candy Floss'). @_@;;; 'Grow Into Shinin' Stars' is pretty good, too, but I don't really like 'Sky' as much as their other stuff... although 'Into The Daylight ~Hikaru Sasu Hou He~' is pretty nice. Let me be with you... ^_^;;;
