ayumi hamasaki's ever changing image is deeply loved by people from around the world. even the madame tussauds in hong kong has spotted this, and started to create a wax figure of ayu last year, making ayu the first japanese performer to have their own stature in hong kong.

ayu was very excited about the production initially, and even promised to help during the production process. however, when madame tussauds was anout to send someone to measure ayu, her agent made a lot of requests, and even wanted the whole measuring process to be conducted in a presidential suite in a hotel. finally, ayu postponed the whole plan, giving the reason as 'she's busy'. this jeopardised the whole production process.

as ayu cant even make herself available for an hour or two, madame tussauds was dissatisfied by the unreasonable excuse. madame tussauds even issued a letter to her agent, saying that even Jiang Zhemin (chinese ex-president) had his measurements in the VIP room of the airport, and jackie chan went to the madame tussauds museum in person to have his measurements. they could not believe that ayu was busier than Jiang Zhemin or jackie chan, and hoped that ayu would cooperate.

after nine months of tug-of-war, ayu finally gave her measurements data from japan to the museum. however, her agent was very picky on everything, from her nails to her pose, they had a lot of requirements. recently, the statue was finished, but the staff on ayu's side were not so satisfied, thinking that the statue did not look very much like ayu. hence, they sent some staff to rescue the wax statue. ayu's personal make up artist and image consultant are now working on the statue.

it is said that ayu's statue's hairstyle could be changed anytime, so that the statue could be changed according to ayu's current image.

They generally don't make it your current style .. they generally make it your most memorible style from what I know ...

Madame Tussaud's actually goes through a really painful process to measure each person they make a statue out of, so if it's true, I'm surprised Ayumi didn't cooperate more with them. Usually they insert hairs individually into the scalp of the statue, so if it's true that the Ayumi one can change hairstyles, I guess it's a wig?

Hong Kong's Media enjoy creatin' untrue fact for her. Since when one of her NEWS from here is good 'bout her? If i'm a Hamasaki Ayumi i'll nut allow them to do meh statue in there!!! At least like NYC or Paris...
