My interpretation of Wonderland
this is my interpretation of the song:
wonderland cos it is about ayu's childhood this is cos of the music box sounds (orgel), it is a little girl's dream to have a music box ![]() but then there are a lot of nasty laughs from an adult male, this may represent her father. innocent childhood shaken and pierced by nasty and cold laughters. this is a sharp contrast. so in short, this track is about her unhappy childhood. what do you think? (helo masa, do you wanna do a psychoanalysis on this song?) |

That's actually a really good thought, but I personally think you're perhaps being a bit too specific...I wouldn't go as far as to say that she wants a music box and that it's her father who's laughing like a maniac. I'd say it's more generally symbolic of her childhood...kind of as you described: full of innocence, hopes and dreams...and then the big bad adult world comes to get her. :O And that's the storminess and evil laughter. I think that can be meaningful for almost anyone though...I don't think you'd be a proper human if you hadn't had a similar feeling at one point or another.
GREAT JOB on pointing that out extepan. I never would have been able to rattle that off if you hadn't gotten my thinking started. ![]() |

I think you're right for the most part. I guess i never really looked at that song as personal because it has no words, but I was wrong and now I see what you mean!

![]() I think its doing nothing but showing how everything has its downside. I dont believe in optimism, so this is a wonderful track ^^ to me at least. I think they're both probable, since ayu has a few song about her dad, and she sees the world for what it really is. |

^ yeh that's what I thought as well...the whole instrumental reminds of a line in Liar where it goes 'happiness is followed by sadness' or something to that effect.
