Whatever Happened to....

the brilliant green?

I just put this whole album (the WINTER ALBUM) on repeat because I haven't listened to it in a while, and after listening to escape, I felt really sad, like they'd never be back. I know Tommy's still out there because she's on the LOVE FOR NANA album, but there hasn't been any new brilliant green other than the SUPER TERRA 2000 DVD reduced price re-release I was unable to get ().

Has anyone heard any news on them since they went on hiatus (sp) over two years ago? I miss them, they had such a good comeback with the Winter Album and the corresponding singles, so if they were to return to the music scene once again, I'm sure they'd have something amazing.

Please Tommy, stop your solo stuff and go back to the brilliant green, unless of course she divorced the guy in the band or something and they won't reunite because of issues or she had some problems with the band and expressing herself (read the interview on centigrade-j about how she likes her solo stuff because she doesn't have to worry about a pattern, or sales)...I hope not...*waits patiently for something to happen with them*

Oh, I miss them so much too! What a great band. I like Tommy's solo stuff, but the stuff with the rest of the band I like just so much better. I hope they put out some material soon!

Frankly I still cannot get over the grief of saying goodbye to my favorite two bands from SONY. One is tbg, and the other being ZONE... >_<

Tommy isn't much active neither in her solo career.

I LOVE tbg to death. Well if you want news on them, their guitarist recently released a nice album called "I met The Music". whidbey is such a fantastic song heheh but it is an album with english speaking vocalists so it's quite different. He already released 2 singles and 1 album.
And Tommy married the bassist. I so wish they would release something under "tbg" again. Tommy's voice suits it much more. Not to mention they were going into the right direction since "THE WINTER ALBUM" is one of the best japanese albums I've ever heard.

God...I miss BuriGuri so much.

I do quite like Tommy's release under both heavenly and february.

They've been on hiatus for almost TOO long I'd say though. Their guitarist did release stuff already with other groups, so it does seem that they're moving on. . . But, I would love another wonderful album from them like THE WINTER ALBUM because that cd was a classic.

The materials under february6 are a little too cheesy for my taste while heavenly6 is just too Avril-ish.

I was listening to "Los Angeles" the other day, and "Hello Another Way" is so good.

I want more buriguri, damn it. At least LOVE PSYCHEDELICO sounds somewhat like buriguri, but KUMI's vocals can never match Tommy's.

I need more of their stuff, really should go hunt the rest of their albums and stuff down.

Yeah, they announced last year on their page that Tommy was marrying Shunsaku and Ryo was marrying A-san, some jewellery designer. I wonder how Ryo's meister solo project did. He collaborated with BONNIE PINK for one single, now that one should be good. =D

And they also mentioned that they don't intend to break up, and that they'll continue producing good music. At the rate they're going now, we won't hear anything from them save a best album at this rate. =(

I best album might be nice, but I'd prefer new stuff, since I'll end out buying all their albums and the first two singles anyway....><

L'arc~en~Ciel had a hiatus just as long but they still got back together in the end, so I still have faith in BuriGuri getting back together for new releases in the future.

But with Ryo's meister project involving him spending much of his time in London, I wonder. Then again, we haven't been hearing much from Shunsaku lately. =X

Ugh. The solo stuff makes me mad. Doesn't this sound like it could be released as the brilliant green? (off the LOVE for NANA tribute) The title even seems like a brilliant green title to me...

GIMME ALL OF YOUR LOVE!!! (RP)-Tommy Heavenly6

The song sounds... quite trite. I want more Shunsaku, Tommy's solo stuff just doesn't sound good anymore. =(

Wow. I just heard 'Hello Another Way' and 'THE LUCKY STAR' for the first time today. I was blown away by these two songs as much as I was when I first heard 'Forever to me'!! There's so much more BuriGuri I have yet to discover! *Must buy Los Angeles & SUPER TERRA2000 DVD*

I, on the other hand, prefer listening to Tommy's solo stuff, especially her last album. It was incredible, so much better than her TBG stuff.

Is this old, or a sign...?

We'll be back!!
You'd better be ready for us!!

Edit:This was when they came back with Forever to Me...

In BuriGuri related news, according to her diary at the ken-on site, Tommy February6 will sing the theme song for the Paradise Kiss anime...
