What if Ayu marrys tomorrow and leaves jpop

most of you have heard of all those rumours about ayu wanna retire because she is workin too hard and that she wanna marries nagase etc etc...

so wat if tmr when u wake up and u login ahs...u saw

"Ayu announced marriage with Nagase and retired from the scene of Jpop"

WHAT?!?!

What do you think is...

1) Your reaction
2) What's gonna happen to AHS
3) What's gonna happen to the Jpop industry immediately?
4) Anything else that you think would happen?

1) "Aw dude, that sucks... but maybe now avex will release alot of those remixes that they haven't yet in the hopes of making more money off her name... PLEASE avex money-grubbing, don't fail me now!!"
2) AHS would probably still be around for awhile cuz fans will still have questions, downloads they want to trade, and scans to share. "News" is a small part of the ayu fan community, really.
3) To be honest, I don't think much will happen to the industry as a whole. Ayu isn't quite the trendsetter she once was, nor does she release cds nonstop the way she did in 2000-2001. Ayu's really doing her own thing now, this last album was much more personal than alot of her other stuff, where before things were done for the fans and for the industry. I think it might send minor shockwaves through it for awhile but within a year the industry will have moved on.
4) I think maybe BoA or Hikki or someone will take the throne as the reigning queen of asian pop, cuz heaven knows people who follow music always need someone huge to either worship or dispise. I also think that ayu's online presence will start shrinking but some of the bigger sites will stay there just in case new fans are created later. It does happen. Later on ayu might make a comeback the way several past jpop stars have done but she'll never be as big as she was between 2000 and 2002.

1) Your reaction: Wow, dang. No more good songs by a great singer .. but everyone has a life and has to live it.
2) What's gonna happen to AHS: .. Oh boy. Maybe it would convert into a J-Music forum? I think fans (and I) would be freaking out for quite a while until it all settles down with time.
3) What's gonna happen to the Jpop industry immediately?: O.o; I hope fans in Japan threaten music industries to not buy other artists' CD's/Singles .. I'm not quite sure. I'm sure someone would come along and be the queen of J-Pop.
4) Anything else that you think would happen?: I would be very one sad fan for a while.

If she did marry, good for her. There are plenty of other good artists out right now that I think are better than her. It would not be the end of the world, I'd be happy for her, she's released more than enough already.

Why would she have to stop if she is married? I think she can go on singing and being a wife, as Madonna, Shania Twain, Britney Spears, and lots of other singers...
Anyway, if she wants to retire, I'd feel sad at the start, but I think I'll be happy knowing she is happy too ^^

Good for her, and we will move on. You know even if she does stop singing and performing. She might tackle the production side of the business.

1) Go Ayu!
2) AHS would still be here because a big part of it is about us and not just Ayu anymore.
3) Fans would go nuts, protest, give up, and then sell her CDs as collector's items on Ebay.
4) I could really care less.

1) i will be so shocked!!!!! but should be expected.. as in.. because there for sure for one person to settle down finally and have a peaceful life right? u cant be living so exciting and in so high profile forever right?

2) AHS will be still here.. i think... ayumi is really huge to me.. i cant imagine AHS gone... and i think it will either be transform to a jpop forum or something else... mayb like a forum that is tribute to ayumi something memorial

3) I think it will be something like a big explosion to the Jpop industry!! big news!! impact news!! and i expect something to happen to avex... but as for the jpopqueen title i think at the beginning there will still be no one to take over... after a certain amount of time then someone will take over.. but i dont expect ai ostuka/ mika/ BoA to take over... i guess someone will be coming up as in some new stars coming up will be much more popular than them... im not looking down any 3 of them.. i feel they still lack of something... but i hope to see (if both ayu n nagase is really marrying) the media really make their marriage like some grand ceremony as in.. the news will be all over the media and many shoots of their ceremony and so on or make some TV special on ayu and nagase too!! ^^ hahaha im thinking too much

4) anything else that would happen? hmmz.. i couldnt think of one now... ayumi's real father is being exposed? as in everyone know who is he ??

hahahaha

I'd be happy for her

I think that AHS would still stick together for the good old times

1) Good for her. It's nice to see her happy with her partner.
2) Stick around and reminisce about Ayu.
3) I doubt there would be a large ripple effect, things would just continue without Ayu
4) Not that I can think of... probably Ayu will release another A Best or something

1.) OMFG!!! AYU! ( although i am happy with her marriage i am not happy with leavin jpop)
2.) AHS i think would still be up for all the ayu lovers like us cuz they know we dont want another dissapointment
3.) the jpop industry would find a replacemtent... but no way in hell they can replace her
4.) a lot of pplz would be mad... but u gotta respect for ayus decision cuz shes bbeen doin this since like 1998 or 1999 and wont u get exhausted after a while?

1) I'd be super super happy for her and hope even though she is married, maybe she'll still continue writing lyrics.
2) Like most people in this thread say, maybe convert it to J-Pop music forum?
3) Well..kinda hard to say...but I think not much will happen because there are other influtential artists like Utada and Namie and it will take time for the world to adjust to them.
4) Hmmm....Ayumi will have a baby! LOL! Hmmm..I wonder what he/she will look like...hmmmm...

1) My first reaction would be that I would be DEVASTATED that she's leaving...but REALLY HAPPY for her new marriage. It would be hard. I would be very torn. I would really miss waiting for her new singles and stuff!

2) AHS will live on!! I'm sure everyone will still be here talking about Ayu even if she leaves the industry.

3) Immediately, the JPOP industry will experience a huge shock. With Ayu out of the picture, it brings lots of chances to the doors of Otsuka Ai, BoA, Hikki and Amuro Namie. I suppose that after Ayu leaves, Otsuka Ai will probably succede her (as much as I dislike her).

4) The day after I found out, I would wear black for probably a week, and cry lots! >.< My life would be in much disarray.

1) Your reaction: I would be bummed out for a while, but then happy for Ayu. Happy that she's happy. Then I can complete all my collections (singles, remix albums, posters, Ayupan) without worrying about new ones coming on the market and having to save up for them.
2) What's gonna happen to AHS: It would keep on keeping on. There will always be news about Ayu.
3) What's gonna happen to the Jpop industry immediately?: Avex would put out The Ultimate Best of Ayumi Hamasaki, and all these special edition DVDs would come out with ALLLLL of her concerts on it. They would probably make lots of money off of it.
4) Anything else that you think would happen?: My Mom would be really happy that I wouldn't go running around going, "Ayu's new single is out April 20th!!!" and various other things.

1) Your reaction
Both happy and sad. Happy that she got married to the man she really loves. Sad that she's not gonna make music anymore. But i'm sure she'll never quit that easily. I know she'll find a way to come back with new materials and songs. I'm sure she'll never really leave her fans behind.

2) What's gonna happen to AHS
I guess some fans are gonna complain, defenitely. It will be quite calm for a while. Less people are gonna come to the forum for sure.

3) What's gonna happen to the Jpop industry immediately?
Wow, things are gonna be completely different. I mean, the j-pop queen is getting married. Who will replace her? What happenned to her? Will she come back? Is she planning on coming back? Who's gonna be the next j-pop queen? Yes... i'm seeing that!
