[2005] Backing Vocalists
Since when has Ayumi started having backing vocalists, especially during live performances? And how many did she have? Also images of her backing vocalists would be rather interesting.

The earlier I've spotted was on the song "Who...", near the end you can clearly hear PECO. They've probably been wth her much earlier, just like Enrique and Yoshio. PECO is the only name I can remember LOL I always forget the name of that other girl.

Maybe because PECO is the noisiest and the most bossy? XD I didn't know she has been her backing vocalist for so long.

Ah I almost forgot to mention that one of ayu's back vocalists is actually ayu herself LOL A lot of songs have like 4 or 5 ayumi's singing at the same time

Peco and the other chick almost NEVER sing on Ayu's CDs, they are only needed in live performances. Ayu uses herself as the background vocalist on her CDs, but of course she can't sing different parts live XDXDXD!

The backup singers started appearing at lives durring A-Museum in 2003 I believe. The other singers name is Yamazaki "Princess" Yoko.

^XD I think she looks funny but yeah she does manage to ruin the scene imo sometimes. Weren't there two other backing vocalists during Rainbow?

Yeah and they were much better. You can see them in the CDL 02-03 DVD.

I liked the ones she had in the Ourselves performance on CDTV on 07.05.... they sounded really good, and looked a bit better than the two she usually performs with. Lol.

I have nothing against Peco and Princess but i prefer the sound of Ayumi overdubbing herself. I think thats what the technique is called. It just sounds much more interesting. The other singer's voices don't harmonize very well with Ayu's voice.
