American Oricon ?
is there a way to check out album sales of american albums? billboard just doesnt cut it. (ex. first week sales of ___) just wondering if there was a site like that.

Oh never heard of any.. Never found any too. But Wikipedia is the best. For some artists with devoted fanbases, the first week sales are usually mentioned in a paragraph somewhere around career. Check it out. I'm sure you know Wiki... Sales are often provided too. Like Shakira's Oral Fixation Vol.2 first week sales are there, at 128 000 copies. Madonna's is also there, at 300 000 something and gwen too. You need lots of digging though.

Yes, but the artistes with an active fanbase will have all their info from single sales to album positions in Billboard and everything. Like Britney, Gwen, Sugababes.. Sometimes, its best to scour internet forums, they surprise me sometimes with every sales status suddenly appearing.

shakira just sell 120.000 in the first week? that was really low but american artist can maintance their sales more than japan that droping so fast

Yes true, till today, Gwen STefani sells more than 20 000 a week. Its because they release singles from the albums after the album is released.
