Info About Evanescence New Album

- When I listen to the new album, it sounds more sexy. But also like a survivor. The album comes across as if she knows what she has suffered and she has proved to herself how strong she really is.It's completely different from Fallen to me.
They will return to LA in Feb to do post production. Rocky said everything sounds great. (Reneè)

-Amy posted on EvBoard.com saying there were reasons why the album has been delayed.. She says they thing it's gonna be AUGUST.. Nothing's carved in stoned yet, though.. let's be patient! Here's the post (thanks to EvBoard.com): "Hey guys. I know everyone is dying to hear whats going on, and its been a little while since I've posted. There's some stuff I really shouldn't talk about right now, but I want you to know that the record is coming out beautifully. Through all of the scary and insane drama over the last 6 months, there has also been alot of good- I feel like a new person. As most of you already know, Terry had a stroke in November. A small chunk of this recording process was spent in the neurology unit at ULCA. Every time he would wake up all he could talk about was getting out of the hospital and playing guitar. He actually had us bring his polka-dot Randy Rhodes guitar to the hospital. Its funny- after being stuck on lyrics for a month on one song, I remember finally writing them at the foot of Terry's bed in intensive care. Its wild how life inspires you- again reminding me that we have no control over anything. It's been 2 months, and Terry has made miraculous progress. He is in the studio with us right now, and everything is going ahead as planned. We are certain that he will make a full recovery- he's too stubborn to settle for anything less. Meanwhile, we were (and are) going through firing our manager, and as you can see (all over the freaking internet), that hasn't been very easy for us either. BUT it always hurts to break through to the other side- to make the changes you have to make to help yourself, and I already feel so good. Weird. I feel better than I have in years. I love my album, I love my band, and I'm grateful for our lives. This album is meaning more and more to me as we finish it. Most of it was written when we came into the studio, but much more has poured out through all of this, making it that much better- that much more passionate. We will be finished with mixing and everything by March first. THAT MEANS it will be early fall when the album is actually on the shelf. We're thinking August. I hope you can understand the delay, and I promise the music will be worth it. I just can't wait to share it with everyone. Thank you all for being so patient and supportive. We love you!

- The album will be in post production in about 3 weeks. Rocky and John will leave in a couple of days. Every day we get closer to the album release. (Reneè)


- Amy has names for the songs but I don't know if they will change. The band doesn't mind about the questions. They understand because they are ready to get this album out also. I can't tell you guy's why it's being delayed. I'm hoping Amy or the Label will explain. If and when you hear the reason, then you will see how frustrating this has been for me. I would love to tell you guy's but it's not my place to do so. Now this is not some crazy or depressing new's. Everything and everyone is fine and working hard. I want you guy's to continue to be happy, excited, and impatient(like me) about the new album. I can't wait to hear the finished project. I would still guess around May or June for the release. Maybe the website will be up soon!!!!

- This is what Renee' (Rocky's wife) has told us about the release date we have fount on the Wind-Up Records site..

"Hello, I just would like to say that when we talked to Amy and Dave Fortman the other day that everything was on schedule in the studio. Amy was doing piano and organ and Will said he was flying out Sunday. We were also told that Rocky would be coming out to do 3 more songs. Terry is done with his part. It's mainly those 3 new songs, Will's bass and then vocals and the album is done. I think the label will hold the album until then. We have not been told anything different about the release date! Until somebody tells me differently, I'm sticking with March. Maybe Wind-up will not be so stupid to hold it till summer! We shall see!!! Next time we talk to Amy, We will ask! I'm just as frustrated as you guy's are! Reneè"
- Amy will decide closer to the end of recording on who she will use for the choir. She also does a lot of the opera vocal on this with the choir (...). On the vocals, a lot of it is through out the heavier songs, so yeah, she will probably wear herself out!!! (Reneè)

- Rocky has recorded 14 songs plus there were a couple of ballads. I'm sure some of these songs will be B sides or something to that fact. They wont all make the album..

- Amy will be the only one doing the singing..

- Amy has written all of the lyrics. I think Terry likes to just stick with the music..

OMG ...first it was end of 2005...then March...then Summer and now August ...
