LISA

Wondering if anyone else like her???

I first know about her through Koda Kumi, their collaboration song "Switch" and heartsdale.. and ever since me got addicted to her voice...

Her first album Gratitude wasnt really my taste.. but this one "God Sista" is so HOT! I just finish listen to it and the energy in the album is mesmerizing ^o^

I was interested in her briefly until she realised 'Switch'.

'Superstar' and 'Babylon no Kiseki' got me interested then, but I wish she stayed with m-flo.

hah I was just about to post this too. 'GOD SISTA' is probably the best j-urban album I've ever heard. including everything by koda kumi too

I liked her previous solo albums too and she was great on m-flo too. m-flo hasn't been as good since she left.

every track on GOD SISTA is just so good. I think she has one of the best vocals in j-pop / j-urban.

what are your fave tracks off it ?

Oooh, I don't know. GOD SISTA is so different from Juicy Music (which I liked). When I downloaded the PV for It's On, I was shocked. Lisa got sexed up! It's like she's trying to pull a Koda Kumi on us. I've never thought of Lisa to be very sexy, not even in SWITCH. Koda Kumi and Heartsdales were sexier than her in that vid. But jeez, how many booby shots were there going to be in the It's On video? I admit the song is very catchy, but it made Lisa out to be very cheap. I think I prefer her previous image. Of course, I'm still holding out that one day she will reunite with m-flo.

Anyway, the new album is kinda dumb. The songs are really generic, and seriously? Bootyelectric? When the song came on when I was listening, I actually laughed out loud. This is Lisa? I thought.

I personally have always had some interest in LISA. I actually disliked most of her work with m-flo... everything just sounded the same. I have loved what I have heard off of "GOD SISTA" so far. Though some of the titles are cheesy like "GOD SISTA" and "bootyletric" the songs are very good Japanese urban pieces. My favorite piece so far has to be "It's On". That song is hot stuff.

So what are you favorite LISA songs everyone?

My favorites are:

- It's On
- So Beautiful
- Switch feat. Koda Kumi & Heartsdales
- GOD SISTA

I love her so much, and Switch was the song that got me into her, and I really love her song Sweetest Thing or something like that from the Jhett album.

WHY DID THEY KILL "I, Rhythm" for the album? The single version rocked and the album remix sucks

^ I also like pretty much all of the songs off the album. and I agree , bootyelectric is porbably the worst track cos it's repetitive and just kinda blah. also I would have prefferd to have original mizes instead of the remixes , except for that Switch remix which is so good

'So Beautiful' is my fave track by LISA which already isn't on 'GOD SISTA'. the new album has only less than half new songs , but I like having all the great songs like 'Sweetest ft. JHETT' and 'get real' on the same album with the new songs.

also on 'It's on' PV isn't the worst LISA PV ever. on 'I , Rhythm' PV LISA actually has a dance coreography & she tries to pull of a 'koda kumi'-esque humping-dance move thing on all fours. the end result is anything but sexy. I'm a fan of hers , but please LISA no more dance routines from kuu

FINALLY! I was waiting 4 someone to make a LISA thread. I'm listening to "GOD SISTA" right now. I like it even though it's a little generic. The beat of the song "GOD SISTA" reminds me a little of the "Lean Back" track. "special love" and "hit da spot" are really good. So far my favorite LISA tracks are
- So Beautiful
- My Dearest
- It's On

I still haven't heard Juicy Music yet.
I actually like the I.Rhythm remix on "GOD SISTA" it flows with the vocals and original melody.
