Alright ladies and gentlemen! I know this has been done to death.. but let's have a little fun anyway yeah? So yeah, why now? I get the feeling that after her next album, Ayumi may be releasing a second greatest hits collection. If it were up to you, what would you choose to the tracklisting to be?

as i'm bored... i'll give a few reasons for my choices

evolution: well, it is a signature song, and i think it's the perfect start to her new album.

~new mix~ songs: I think all these songs are awesome, the reason I want them to have a new mix is basically the for a little more variety. We've all heard the songs before, a little change in arrangement done well can bring out a whole new sound in these =).

~2007 rebirth~ songs: These songs are also ones we've all heard before, but as some of you may have guessed, like with the 2003 rebirths on A BALLADS, these are just retouched to make them sound a little cleaner.. nothing too fancy.

Ladies Night (REMIX): no, not ~another night~, but i want a new mix! i think this song is fantastic and would be an awesome way to end the album if the remix is good.. if not.. then the album version would be awesome too.

~NEW SONG~: Well, we need a new song right? It would be a good way of promoting the album.

Oh, and about the name... I'm not a very creative person myself.. so I just added ~progression~ to the A BEST to say that well... she's progressing? lol

I didn't want them all remixed or retouched because then it might as well be a remixed album, but I think it's a well balanced list if her Greatest hits album is to be a single disc... if it were a double disc... well... i may have to do another post in here >=)

what about everyone else?

Only rule is.. make it a little realistic at least... no 25 track cds please.. lol

UNITE !: Well, I think it's such an upbeat song and it sounds great as an opening, dontchya think?

STEP you: Yeah, similar to (m)u, but why not? Who can resist hearing that great beat? "1.2.3.4 YOU and ME ?"

SURREAL: IMO, you gotta have this. Get a rush of the Duty album in you.

Depend on you: Oh come on, who doesn't remember that upbeat track in ASFXX?

Free & Easy: A good song to calm things down and a reminder of RAINBOW.

HANABI: For the new mix, I think a really cool remix could be done. Not anything rock-y, but some cool sound effects and then mix that with some acoustic orchestra sounds.

NEVER EVER: Same with HANABI. Just some cool SFX, ne? Nothing too remix-y.

TO BE: I was thinking the AOV on the SEASONS single, but original is good too, right?

Will: So many ballads. Just a little something to wake you up.

I am ...: (Nothing much to say here...)

monochrome: I personally think this song sounds really cool. Just tweak it a little bit with a couple of cool SFX and I think it would sound cool. I know I keep saying "cool SFX", but I just want a little change like A BALLADS -- nothing fancy, just a cleaner affect like julian said.

ourselves: The last dark feeling song.

Tracks 13-16: To remember all those times at the concerts where the audience sings along.

Replace: Good way to end the album I think.

And the title is nothing fancy. I just couldn't think of anything else.

Title: A BEST for "XX" CD+Photobook/CD+DVD. Out tommrrow!

CD+Photobook version comes in 4 different covers, with Ayu dressed in different clothes for different SEASONS. A 100 page photobook is attached showcasing all her pictures from "A BEST" to "A BEST for XX".

CD+DVD version comes with only 1 cover, "Ultimate Ayu". This version also comes with a special password for access to a special site to listen to Ayu's mysterious "third-A" song that was taken off of "BLUE BIRD".

First Press will receive bonus poster showing all her singles and albums featured in the 2nd BEST Album. Also, it will include a special postcard written message from Ayu.

I think that releasing it while her sales are so going down would be a mistake, because of the effect such albums generally has on single sale. It would be the end of her.
