do you feel the way that ayu sumtimes looks so old?
i dont know,is it my feeling or not,but sometimes,i feel like,she's lookin' old,espicially in her concert or pic.is it by the effect of too much make-up? she's only 27 but sumtimes she looks like older than she must.poor ayu.
and yeah....sumtimes i see ayu like i see kylie minogue

I think mostly could pass for 19. There was this one picture inwhich she looked old, from when someone was styling her hair during the B&D "era". There was this big wrinkle beside her lips.. =/

I think she looks young for her age. Her personality probably contributes to her appearance of youth. I know what you mean with the make-up, but she's always pulled off make-up pretty well. We can't expect her to look like she did back in ASFXX era. She still looks very pretty to me. She can still do the girlish-cute look when she wants, gladly. Actually, in the BF PV, I was surprised at how young she looked, especially as the register girl. In that case, I'd agree with her being able to pass for 19... And hey it won't be so weird if she keeps looking young, it'd just be more praise to our lovely Ayu!
She looks like she takes very good care of herself. I mean, look at her abs...  lol.

Well, she's not getting younger...
I don't think she looks old...just kinda of tired. Actually, actors and singers tend to age quicker because the amount of makeup they wear. For example, Jennifer Aniston begin to show wrinkles around her mouth around age 28-29.

I actually think she looks much younger than she actually is. Whenever I have her in my MSN display pic, people always ask about her and they think she's like 20. Oh, and when me and my friend watched Trauma from Concert Tour 2000 my friend thought she was only 14 O_O... Seriously, back before 2000 she could pass as about 15 years old... and now she can pass for like 22 or so...

Well I remember someone making the argument that during concerts, it's a practical necessity because she's running around all over the place and it's pouring sweat.
Seems like she has a lot of make-up on in CDL0506 in particular. I don't really mind though, because it looks natural enough for me. Not to mention how the modern love~destiny~ friggin blows me away  . Look at that pic of her in the TeamAyu update thread, the one of her recording! It looks like she hardly has any make-up on because she looks similar to those other pics where she doesn't have any on; the eyes are much lighter. Damn it's like we are just so used to seeing her with mascara on...even since the earlier days, ne? Mascara was essential to the evolution look. I think there's also this Panasonic commercial where she does't wear much mascara or none at all. Needless to say, it was very striking. Anyway, I think she looks lovely in the TeamAyu pic. It's the smile  .

At some of her concerts I think she looks older, and even in a couple pvs. However, she looks /very/ young in the magazines and on her covers.

well, nowadays she looks really mature, but it's okay
in the concert she's more natural then in the photoshoots, cuz photoshoots take more time + they fix the light and put it into the right position + the fix the pics on the comp after every photosession so they can look great and then they release them Last edited by ayu_ready?; 13th August 2006 at 09:43 PM.

i dont' think she looks older than she is, but many kinds of makeup does damage your skin in ways that make it age faster, that's why i don't wear it usually. I think she looks mature, she used to have this teenage innocent look, but now she looks like she's a bit older and bold about it. She doesn't look liek she's trying to hide behind her makeup if ya ask me.

I've thought she's looked tired, maybe her age, but not OLD. (And I didn't know about make-up aging your skin...another excuse for me to tell people as to why I never wear it! Haha) I think she looks mature, definitely. Her face has really toned out more over the years, losing some of the last bits of her "baby" fat. She looks like a genuine adult now, and not stuck between an adolescent and an adult. But that's just a part of the aging process.
