It seems these 2 pamphlets are pretty rare ._.

Ugh, I have no money to buy this one and uncover the secrets of the never before seen pamphlet

I have them both...maybe tomorrow I could try to scan it, but it's reeeeally fragile. If that doesn't work I can take pictures of the pages...

You don't have to scan, you try to just take pics with a camera. We only just want to know what is behind those covers ;_;

I just took pics of my blue pamphlet, so you can try to take pics from the pink pamphlet

Well...I just walked over to my bookshelf and cracked them open, and they aren't as fragile as I thought. I won't be going to school tomorrow (sick x__x) so I don't mind making a day project out of scanning and retouching both books, for that matter. There are some gorgeous pictures in both books...I'm surprised no one's scanned them yet. I got my copies for, like, 500Y each off Y!J. Guess I lucked out...

Anyway, the blue book is more centered around actual concert photos (but you know that already) whereas the pink book is all photoshoots. Purdy pictures!

I'm really excited to do this now...it can be my significant contribution to the Ayu Community.

Those aren't the pamphlet scans, those are the booklet scans that came with the DVDs. We're talking about the pamphlets...but thanks anyway!

Well, you'll be able to see them tomorrow when I've finished scanning!

I'll be using PSP X to touch up the pictures...anyone have any good advice on what tools to use while touching up the pics? I'm off to Google it now...

Scan them without re-touching, and someone who knows how to might do it for ya =)

Ah.. I'd advise you to use Photoshop, for it I could tell you some basic things... I switched from PSP to PS quite some time ago.

I'm currently using Photoshop CS.

I'll check it out tomorrow...by then I won't be on my laptop, I'll be on my desktop since it's faster and my life will be much easier using a mouse than a touchpad.

Can you PM me some tips about that? Anything at this point would be helpful!!!

Well, I'm not really a pro.

The basics is kind of to adjust the levels if it's too bright or dark.

If you want to go deeper, skip the levels and start playing around with curves.

curves is all that you need to restore colour, contrast, shadows etc. etc. on a picture, it takes a little practice before you can handle it.

If you get photoshop (maybe you already have it?) it can be found under Image -> Adjustments -> curves....

Well, I can do that in PSP then. Thanks for the tips! When I said retouching, I meant more like getting out the scan lines...do I need to adjust the DPI on my scanner, maybe? Is there a good ideal setting for that?

You get scan lines!? Get a better scanner =P Or what do you mean?

I say scan on 400DPI, although 300 is often considered sufficient quality I find 400DPI easier to work with and then just shrink it to a handle-able size.

Ahahaha. xD I should get a better scanner. Except it triples as my scanner-fax-printer. And alas, saving for college and satisfying my Ayu/Mika/YUI/OLIVIA obsessions prevents me from purchasing a new one at the moment.

Thanks for the DPI advice...if memory serves, mine is set by default to, like, 800. Terrible! >__<

Is it? O_O I don't remember! All I remember is it looks crappy. Maybe it was 100 and I just don't remember correctly...you never know, 8 is one of my favorite numbers, my brain might have just stuck it in there for fun. xD
