This thread is dedicated to the awesome pop/hip hop singer Ashley Tisdale. Her debut album Headstrong was released yesterday, and its so great! You may know her as Sharpay Evans in HighSchool Musical or Maddie Fitzpatrick in The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, but that doesn't matter...this thread is about her Warner Records music, and has nothing to do with her disney channel stuff. So, let the discussion begin? Who bought her album?

Oh, and i was wondering about her video for He Said, She Said....it was supposed to premier on TRL today, but i just watched the entire show, and the only premier video was Fergie's Glamorous. What happened? I was really looking forward to it...

I never heard any of her songs, but she's pretty and she acts WAY better than Vanessa Anne Whatever. I love her in The Suite Life...

Care to introduce me to her music?

I was looking on mtv for the vid. I was upset I was working and missed the vid.

I really like He Said She Said..and Over It...I need to listen to the rest of it.

Ive got the album with me..though its my sis's... I dont like her persona...but her music is great! lol

^ i love everything about the album haha...im so obsessed, im typing a review now:

1.Intro
This is a brief sampler of most of the songs on the album..nothing to really review about here...but it was cool to get a tiny taste of each song on the album before i heard the songs.

2.So Much For You
A really cool techno/hip hop song...it sets a really edgy mature feel for the album. Great music, and cool chorus. 9/10

3.He Said, She Said
The first official single of the album. It's kinda hip hop/pop-ish. Great song. 9/10

4.Be Good To Me
Awesome song. It's basically a mix of r&b, hip hop, and pop. This is my favorite song on the album. Its a great song to dance to. 10/10

5.Not Like That
Another awesome song. Its mostly hip hop. It has a middle eastern tint to it, which seems to work really well with any hip hop/r&b song. 10/10

6.Unlove You
Her first try at a real ballad..the first works sound so great, but her voice kinda falters in the chorus. Its a great song though, and its a good ballad. 8/10

7.Positivity
I don't really care for this song...its kinda pop/r&b. It's an ok song with a good chorus, but there's some parts that shouldnt be in here...like where she says "WONT YOU SHOW ME SOME PP! I GOTTA GET SOME PP!" wtf is pp? 7/10

8.Love Me For Me
Second ballad on the album...and its better than Unlove You. Its a r&b/pop ballad with a nice laid back feel. Very nice. 9/10

9.Goin' Crazy
The fast hip/hop is back, after it's break...very cool song. It's a bit like So Much For You and Not Like That. The chorus is great, even though its a bit Britney Spears-like. 8/10

10.Over It
Another cool r&b/hip hop song, with an awesome chorus...this song sounds a lot like Britney Spear's Drive Me Crazy. 9/10

11.Don't Touch (The Zoom Song)
A nice surprise for Tata Young fans, is this great cover. Its a nice r&b/hip hop song with a nice beat. 9/10

12.We'll Be Together
Another ballad, but this one is a bit poppier than her other ballads. It's a very sweet song, and i love it. 10/10

13.Headstrong
The title song...this song is my second favorite...its a very fresh hip hop/pop with an awesome chorus. She really has a knack for this kind of song. 10/10

14.Suddenly
The closing ballad. It's very soft and emotional. It reminds me of Fergie's Finally. This is an awesome song. 10/10

and if yu buy it from walmart,

15.Who I Am
This is kinda pop with a few traces of hip hop. It's an awesome, well put-together song. THe chorus is very nicely built. Love it 9/10

16.It's Life
The ending for the walmart version...an awesome song, and my third favorite. Her vocals are great in this song, and the music/beat is awesome. I really love this song. 10/10

So all in all, its a mix of hip hop, r&b and pop. She said on mtv that her biggest influence for this album was Gwen Stefani. That's easy to see. The song on here remind me a lot of Love.Angel.Music.Baby. Headstrong even has a part that reminds me of Hollaback Girl! I give it a 9/10. It has fresh addictive songs and a cool new image. Buy it! You wont regret it!

He Said She Said was definitely her best video yet. I really like It's Alright, It's OK as a song though <3 She said this album is going to have more "guitar driven melodies."

I'm excited for a new album. I really loved Headstrong. But, I'm a little hesitant because I think she may be going for a new look with this album. Not just dying her hair, which I am only now noticing, despite having see the 'Its Alright Its Okay' video, but like, she looks and sounds more rock-ish like Ashlee Simpson. I hope there is some hip hop in her album, since that is what made me love Headstrong.

However, the album art for Guilty Pleasure is total love!
