So Yay for everyone else for once! ! No offence Americans love yalll really!!!

Third studio album by Linkin Park is finally set to be released on May 15,
as has been mention their new album is going to sound totally different from their previous albums.

Their first single is to premier through the radio on April 2nd and has been leaked on many torrent sites now..so it shouldn't be hard to find it

Quote:
Album Descriptions
"Minutes to Midnight is composed of sounds made by a practically Arcade Fire-esque array of instruments including banjos, marimbas and vintage guitars and amps." -- Rolling Stone
"We have put more into the new album than anything we have ever done before." -- Phoenix
"A breakthrough in the development of the band's sound." -- Mike
"This was a year-and-a-half long process of really hard work and experimentation in the studio that yielded about 150 rough songs ... Not only is this album incredibly diverse, but the depth of the material is really strong." -- Brad
"They really are reinventing themselves. It doesn't sound like rap-rock. There's very strong songwriting. I've heard guys in the band say that it transcends everything they've done before, like it puts them in a whole different light in their minds, and they really like that. It's very melodic. It's a progressive record." -- Rick Rubin
"People have always tried to lump us in with the whole rap/rock stereotype, but we don’t intentionally want to be part of that scene. We’ve always had our own personality and I think it really shows on this record." -- Mike
"We wrote in new ways and used instruments and equipment we hadn’t experimented with, from vintage guitars and amps to mellotron to Rick Rubin’s original 808 drum machine he used on the Beastie Boys’ first record." -- Mike
"No, not emo. also, not rap rock, not nu metal, not metal, not punk, not scene, not hip hop, not classic rock, not polka, not any other lame label." -- Mike
"I hope people can listen to it with an open mind because this is a whole new animal." -- Phoenix
"We've ventured into different musical territory. There aren't a lot of big, heavy, banging guitars. We've been focusing more on musical layers and textures." -- Chester
"There's more soul behind what we're doing now. This music has more heart and a much deeper feel to it." -- Phoenix
"There's more vulnerability and colour in the way I'm singing now." -- Chester
"OH SH*%!" -- AOL Music
"Not only is this record the most melodic and diverse stuff they've ever written, it's also some of the best music they've ever recorded. It blew away all of our expectations and we've got no doubts that the band has another monster on their hands." -- AOL Music

I haven't even heard the first single yet... is there a video already?...

and I bumped on one fake of the album today...

EDIT:
Just listened to the song... not really impressive, kinda bland, but the version I have sounds like a very early arrangement, a studio live recording... so I'll wait for the real thing.

the new song is way too bland.. the pv is cool tho.. *but they look too old*

i've been a fan since the beginning and this song is really bland compared to the rest.. i hope the rest of the tracks will have that linkin park power on it

I agree with many of you about the song...it sounds alil too pop but is ok
and I do hope the rest will be more "harder" and with more Mike's rap

The MV is so unoriginal, it's been done so many times but it's still ok and the song is nice.

just say the video -- whoa chester is lookin good - much better than the semi-bald look. Shame Mike's gone all hairy... actually a few of them have gone hairy - kinda like guys fresh-outta highschool. shave boys!

ehm... yeah i'm actually into LP for their music, not their appearance -- don't look at me like a crazy groupie!

i like the new single! quite different from their other stuff, so i'm interested to see where this album is going

Uuf. Is going to sound totally differrent from their previous albums? I hope they'll leave the angst/emo style then. They have couple of songs I like so I wait this a little bit.

the song is good.. but the PV is really very "meh" .. some of the clips they used are just terrible quality.. and i feel the "been there, seen that" meh feeling watching the vid.. they could have been more original with this angsty planet i'm so sorry type thing.. instead of just using random clips from news and other things by the looks of it
