t.A.T.u.'s third studio album

t.A.T.u.'s third studio album began production early in 2007, in Germany. It is expected to release fall or late 2007, with the release of their film, Finding t.A.T.u. Technically, this is the group's 5th studio album, however they only refer to it as their 'third' album, which groups 200 Po Vstrechnoy with 200 km/h in the Wrong Lane and Dangerous and Moving with Lyudi Invalidy.

Production

The group did leave Universal records in 2006, however it is rumored that they might be working under a new contract for this album. It is not yet known if there will be two albums, one English and one Russian, but t.A.T.u. has said that they will continue singing in both languages.

It was first announced that t.A.T.u. would be flying to Los Angeles to begin production on the album in January, however the group ended up recording demos in Germany, with their keyboardist, Sven Martin. Katina then announced on her blog that the group will be flying to Los Angeles on April 13th, to a studio in North Hollywood (Los Angeles). They will probably be staying in the same hotel they have been in the past, The Fairmont Miramar in Santa Monica.

t.A.T.u. wants to take a new direction with this album. They have stated they don't want it to have any psychological themes like they had in the past. They also have said they want more upbeat, possibly dance rhythms.

As of April 22nd 2007, Lena has updated her official diary saying that vocals have already been recorded and that more music is currently being written.

yay! a t.A.T.u. thread! i have to admit i love their music!

I think my favourite t.A.T.u. album is Lyudi Invalidy [russian version of D&M] -- because i prefer their songs in Russian. however Cosmos is the exclusion -- it's much better than Kosmos

i've heard about this movie, but i'm a bit wary -- wasn't there talk of some other t.A.T.u movie paragate or something like that? that said, if this movie does go ahead, i'll definitely be seeing it, and i hope the girls will get a big part!

ooh! and have you heard The Veronica's demo of All About Us? i like it, its got a whole different feel to t.A.T.u.'s version.

No I have'nt heard that version but now that you've mentioned it, I really wanna hear it.

EDIT: I heard it, I like that version too, but yeah, I still prefers Tatu's more.

I did'nt put the Russian albums as people always complain about long posts so I thought I'd just put there most common one's that everyone knows so I could keep the thing short. But i'll put the russian one's up just for you

and take the news thing out of the first post.

Tatu set for big screen?

The movie revolves around a true story involving two female fans of the band who wanted to run away to Moscow and in the process of doing so, accidentally killed one of their mothers. They subsequently went to prison, where they asked to be housed together.

The band will play themselves, in the tale that echoes the plot of Kate Winslet's breakout film Heavenly Creatures.

The movie will be shot in Russia and America and will be in English, rather than subtitled. No other cast has so far been announced.

Sucks that they're going to stray from the psychological themes, but dance music?! I'm in!

There was an old demo people kept brining up Повороты и Падения. It's really good (probably one of my favorite demos). I believe it was done during their second album recording and there isn't any clue to it being on their 3rd album.

Their new album had best be amazing. That greatest hits sell out from last year was so dissapointing. I remember when the rumours where circling before it's release there'd be an English Prostie Dvijenia, but no. Next to nothing amazing or new.
