Will CD+DVD versions make clip collection DVD obsolete?

Since Avex (is any other label doing this?) does CD+DVD versions of almost every release, do you think they will stop doing PV DVDs? Ayu hasn't had a DVD release since Complete Clips Box, hitomi's last DVD was Frozen in Time, Namie had Filmography 2001-2005 which is okay considering that there really hasn't been too many PVs out so far, so I suppose you can exclude her, and I think Kumi Koda only had that "Spirits.." DVD (but I haven't really followed her DVD releases). And those are just the artists I pay attention to... I'm sure there are a lot of other popular artists with the same thing going on.

Well I imagine that this means that clip collections [if there will be any] will be more rare and restricted to the die-hard fans.

Koda has had three compilation DVD's

7 SPIRITS

The only ones I can think of still releasing clip collections are Utada, Mika, and Hello! Project.

Not speaking for Avex artists, but not all artists/bands include the PVs on the DVDs, then later put out a clip DVD or another type with the PVs. But, I can see how it's really not necessary if most people already have the PVs from the singles and albums...

I think casual fans who won't buy every single or even album could still be interested in clip collections. A DVD Best Of. But maybe collections will become more rare.

they were? even so ... that version was very limited ... Even if they did they'd have to lower the prices down ... and make it REALLY appealing .... I@m sure for someone like Utada it would sell decent because she doesn't release CD+DVD versions of her singles/albums (rarely) ... But most people will buy the CD+DVD version of the video from iTunes

i dont think it will...no one wants to spend tons of money collection all the different cd+dvds when there's a collection of all of them for a lower combined price...i would rather have a clip collection than have to buy all the seperate releases

well, for artists that make their cd+dvd versions limited, they might still release the dvd collections crystal kay had a dvd collection, but now her cd's have cd+dvd limited, however, they dont always feature all the PV's...so she might still have them...

I'd like to buy a DVD Boxset over a CD+DVD anyday, although id still like the idea of CD+DVD releases.

I would also buy both cose I hate this DVD changing everytime...single PV s get forgotten...like namies the SPEED STAR...I´m to lazy to change just for that 1one video so if I wnat ti watch I watch it 100000 times in arow...

and the CD+DVD stuff is especially relly cool for none fans who ust like one PV or so...so they go with the Cd+DVd single and buy the otgher stuff normal
